Don't go with UTG if upgrading is at all something you want to do. The HFC is almost internally identical to the VSR10. I relized this through many forums during the upgrading process of MY Gspec. Now being that most of the internal components are the same, not owning one I cannot vouge for the gun since I don't own it. The new Super 9 tactical comes at ~400 FPS with .2's stock and has many upgrades since the older version the V2. The UTG and Tactical 9 are both to my knowledge completely unupradable other than external comsetic and optic asseccories. Bang for the buck I would by the HFC and I believe in chrono tests it actually fires around 10 FPS faster than a VSR-10 pro stock. If you want a collector item for your arsenal then by the coolest looking one in your opinion, but in airsoft sniper rifles are quite ineffective when not upgraded as an AEG will keep up with them in stock form but with full auto. If you plan to use the gun go with HFC and go to the snipers perch at www.airsoftretreat.com as you can find some pretty detailed upgrade information. Oh and I ordered my G Spec from Uncompany for $234 with shipping if they sways you. Personally I would say its worth it. they come with a nice adjustable trigger even though mine now has a zero trigger. Hope that helps.

Hey thanks, but I think im going to go with the UTG unless I can get some money soon. The G-spec has caught my eye a couple times though.

Uhh, the UTG is like the same internally as the VSR as well, except that the UTG Cylinder is really long, its the same Cylinder as the Maruzen APS2, i figured this out the other day.
The M324 IS upgradeable, weather you get the new cylinder they are coming out with or you mix and match with VSR parts and APS2 parts, i am going to do a little experimenting when my new rifle gets hear, but i back the M324 all the way it is a nice gun.
The HFC looks nice though, i just think the M324 has a more tactical look, and Ive seen more positive things then negatives about it.
[EDIT]: After finding out that i posted on the second page i realized that i didn't answer Kdoggs Question.
Personally i would go with a Marui: A: They are a more trusted company, they have better and more reliable products, your less likely to get a lemon
B: I've held and Shot the VSR-10 Gspec, its solid, its quiet as can be, and it is verry acurate.
I recommend the Marui, or the UTG if your budget. suddenly falls.

*YOU CAN NOT OPEN THE CYLINDER OF THE UTG!*
the utg is not upgradeable internally, you may be able to mess around with the trigger and sear, but that is is.
the Gspec is a good weapon but not for high fps's unless you want to upgrade the hell out of it. ive had mine for a little over a year and finally just finished upgrading it to the max. that was over 400$ later. if i were you i would purchase a Maruzen rifle, they have a lot of parts on the market and are trusted, appose to the VSR series its a fairly new weapon and not a lot of parts on the market.

Go look at the Maruzen APS2 Cylinder, it it the EXACT same thing as my Cylinder, you could just put the Maruzen one in, and you would be able to upgrade it.

Get the HFC and put in a new boreup cylinder, you will be good to go.

well, if you know someone that is willing to test if an APS cylinder will work in a UTG, go ahead... i know the VSR series cylinders arnt long enough for the UTG.

might want to upgrade the piston as well since your upgrading the cylinder and the spring, a new stornger piston might help you out a little more as well..
But dosent sound bad at all.
