Okay. I know you have all seen this before. "Is the super 9 a good gun?" "Should I get the Super 9?" I know. I'm not looking for you to do all the researching for me. Just your opinions and/ or experiences with this gun. My only experiences with airsoft guns are with the perferred weapon of the noob, yes, the springer pistol, so my expectations won't be so high as other people with AEG's & high quality snipers. Just a halfway decent gun for the money. Most threads like this end up with answers like 'sharpen the barrel and use it as a javelin." I have seen as many good reviews for this gun as bad, So i'm just lookin for some direction here people!
*edit* don't bother telling me to save my money and get a m24, folks won't let me ;D

The gun isn't that good. You might as well sharpen the barrel and use it as a javelin or try saving up for an m24. I would recommend a cheap gas pistol but if you have your heart set on a rifle it is probably the best one for the price range with the MP5 SD3 as a close runner up.

save the money and get a UHC mp5 SD3
Any good reviews you've seen have either been on retailer's websites who are tryin to sell that piece of garbage or written by people who don't know what they're talking about (of course, this excludes the people who have bought it and modded the hell out of it knowing exactly how bad it is before they decide to make a project out of it).
The super 9, pro or not, is also the prefered gun of the newb. If you want to compete in any larger games, you'll need a GBB at a minimum, and if you want something for "backyard" springer games, you'll be much happier with either the UHC (i think it's UHC who makes the better version, somebody will know) mp5 sd3 or the HFC or TM XM177. Both are better than the super 9, and the mp5 is much cheaper.

The MP5 SD3 has less range then the Super 9. The MP5 is a much better all around gun and it is a lot faster to reload after each shot.

My two cents: The uhc Sd3 is a decent springe/ i have owned 4 of them in my history But the best springer for the same price ARe the TM pistols, They shoot up their with the AEG range, But you have to cock them each time like any other good ole springer. But any TM pistol is great, I have owned the M9 and have taken out a couple AEGS before in M-40 games. Pure luck but meh. I just bought the MARK 23 and i am loving it.

I'm going to have to disagree about the TM pistols. They do put out nice power, but their hop up is set way to high. The cougar that Celeborn owns was sending .25's skyward. If you have to use .3's in a springer, you lose too much effective range. They do have a great fit and finish for a springer though. Just way too much hop up to make them effective.

TM makes each model unique (in terms of hopup, some over, some under, some just right), and the newest 3rd generation pistols blow the old stuff out of the water.
i'm getting man-sized accuracy at 125ft with my Mk23

If you get a MP5 or a pistol I would recommend wearing some type of gloves. It makes it a lot easier to pump the gun for longer derations of time without getting blisters.

I have never shot the TM COUGAR, or even knew they had one... But I fired the Bretta 92f, Glock 17, And The usp. They all shot beautifully flat with .2, My mark 23 curves up with .2 but your suppose to use .25,

Knife I had the same problem with mine, I ended up placing spacers behind the spring for added fps and then knocking out any left over "over-hop-up" by carefully shaving the hop up pad, in the end it was one mean springer.

yes TM springer! i just gone done playing and when my m4 battery died icecreamman was letting me use him MK 23 springer. we had a zombie game going and it was me and delta (2 springers, a MK 23 and a Glock 17. both TM) against 2 upgraded aegs and 2 stock ones. i ended killing 1 upgraded from about 40 yards (took me 3 shots and it was pitch black outside). then delta got 1 upgraded and 1 stock. and to shorten the story we won. so yes i think the TM springers are GREAT i would feel safe anyday going out against and upgraded aeg with one.
