Hmmm, the only thing I know is that it most likely costs a metric assload of cash...anything with the asahi name means big bucks ahoy!

I've seen pictures of it. If I'm not mistaken I think it shoots at a speed of 1.7 J stock. (the J stands for joules) I don't know what the price is, but I know it will be close to a car payment.
I think you should check out Japanese airsoft sites. Places that are 'off the beaten path' would most likely have more collector pieces instead of AEG's and GBB's. Maybe Tokyo airsoft or Bisnet.

A joule is not a speed, it is a unit of energy = to 1 watt

Velocity, not speed (in terms of force). All the asian and european websites use the metric system (aka Joule). For some reason they don't use meters per second.
1.7J is about four times faster than a Gas blow-back handgun.

they dont use meters per second or feet per second because that measurement changes based on the weight of the projectile. Joules are consistant regardless of the weight of the projectile.

Joule is energy, Velocity is speed, mass is heft. E=V(V) x M so Velocity equals square root of energy over mass.

If you use a Maruzen APS Grand Master 0.29g BB at 1.7 jouls it would shout at around 355 FPS. which isint bad for it being stock.

Good lord man, do you REALLY need to spend $2200 (according the Redwolf) on a gun?
There's no point to it. Even if it's just for bragging rights you could do the same thing with a pimpy upgraded APS2 or a M24 sniper rifle.
Eh, it doesn't even look that good either.

It only cost $1500 at den trinity and I believe it comes with a bipod. It is a little big but I like it. its just the kind of rifle I was looking for. (adjustable to me and high tech).

I think that the Blaster was made for use as more of a showpiece or a target gun. Isn't it hand made? It costs a lot, and I think that it serves more as a high power plinking device that looks really cool. If you wanted a reliable sniper rifle, you can just go with a APS.
As a pre-med major (at U of M) I should know about the metric system and how it is applied. I am glad though that as soon as I screw up, twelve people jump on my balls.

HEHE@ONLY $1500If you have the money to spend then sure, go for it. Just seems like way too much money to be spending on just one gun. I'd be too worried I'd break it during a game to even use it. I'm sure the gun would be admired by all who see it, but eh.. just sounds like a $1500 p-e-n-i-s extension to me. Edit: it wouldnt let me say p-e-n-i-s
