My buddy is into the UHC Heavy Weight M9. I don't know much avout it and I'm requesting info about it, first hand. Is it the best UHC spring gun? How far/fast/reliable is the gun? Is it worthy of a low budget sidearm? Please help!

If you can trust the opinion of a "retailer" who has sold proabably a thousand of them. The UHC guns in general are pretty good, in fact they are copies of the Marui's (some/most parts interchange) The gun chrono'd similar to the USP, and SIG, but all of them shot lower fps than the Desert eagle, I presume this is due to the larger diameter piston and cylinder in the DE. (even thought it is shorter in length) The big drawback to the Beretta is the mag loading, which can be difficult due to the sharp angle at which the BB's must turn in order to get past the feed lips and into the mag body, also the mag spring pressure on the BB's is a lot stiffer than the USP, so getting a full load of BB's is hard on the fingers (we have used the speed loaders with some success, but you have to be careful) AS far as shooting goes, the gun is comparable to the other springers by UHC. On the plus side, the beretta has the safety levers molded into each side of the slide which gives you a nice "handle" to grasp while charging the slide, to chamber a round. and that action is generally nice and mechanically smooth (unlike the USP, which feels a little tippy in the charging action. as a skirmish gun, in reality we rarely get to unholster a pistol, so "mostly" it will look nice on your side (or whereever you choose to put it. just a few observations.....

I trust most of the opinions of a retailer. Expeclally one who I buy from. How far does the gun shoot?

Mine shoots about 90 ft or so. At 70 ft or so it tends to hop up but not dramatically. I would definitely get it!
