I know there are a lot of posts about M40s but they are all mostly about upgrades and things of that matter, and i wanted to know what M40 would be the best choice to get. I have read reveiws about them and they seem like a wonderful guns but i want some of your opinions on them. Im really not planning on getting much for it except a rail and scope so i want to have a good stock one. Also where should i buy it from.
Thanks

talk to dawgbait i think dawgbait also said M40's are discontinued somewhere, so you better grab one up soon, and not have to do ridiculous amounts of searching just to find one (like i did for my maruzen shotgun

Well, to my knowledge, the only company that makes the M40 is Sun Project. They make two versions, the XB and something else that I can't remember the designation for as of yet. The XB has all sorts of accessories/upgrade parts available, not so for the other.
If you want an M40, buy the XB.

Xaos i agree with ya.. SP discontinued the M40 a1's until the Silver barrel ones if i remember right but Sum project made about 4 or 5 diffrent rifles.. they have the m700, m40a1, m40a1 silver barrel, m40 xb, m40 xb silver barrel, and the rare one the m40 xb Blued barrel. Out of them all i would pick the normal m40 xb cause theres more replacement parts for it. It is a fairly nice gun stock but it is not pre upgraded like a1's are..

They also have a M40a1 limited Chrome barrel, and the new M40TGC, which comes stock with a gas cylinder set shooting harder than the original's. I am picking up an original M40a1 that I found next week with the original spring set, but it also comes with a new steel hop up and a gas cylinder set. I am happy about my find.. ;D Jack

Good luck if you break any part of the m40 a1. there getting hard to find parts for it also.. and the stock hop up will need some tuning with a new o ring.. i have done that with mine and its shooting great.. I have a walk through about that with the m40xb, i havnt had my hands on a a1 yet..
