OH MY GOD!!! Sports Authority are now selling AIRSOFT GUNS!!! I went to my local Sports Authority, near Super K, well I went in and went to go look at the bb guns I could'nt afford. All of a sudden I see 4 airsoft guns. They had a AUG Clear Mini for 35.00 (ok price) Taurus, Sig 226 for 23.99, and a liscenced Walther (made by Crosman) P99 with sticky target and bbs for 24.99. These are AWSOME prices. I asked the guy and he said he'll be getting more in a week or 2. Guess Sports Authority took the advice I gave them. I purchase the Crosman P99, its nice, hefty, has slidelock, and hop up.
Don't post the same thing twice. everybody who checks the General discussion forum checks the springer forum and vice versa. No need to waste your and our time and proboards space with the exact same thing.
About 5 or so years ago, maybe a little longer, Kmart was selling some daisy or crossman "lookalikes. "The chief of dearborn got on the tube and bashed the hell out of them. Of course in the news piece they had to get peoples reactions to the "lookalike" guns. You can guess the reactions... I am happy that they are available close to home for solidsnakes benefit, but I worry that some idiot will do something stupid w/ one. But on the other hand, I guess an idiot could do something stupid w/ a real gun just as easily.
I saw the same thing at the Sports Authority. However, they didn't have any info by the 226 and I was wondering who made it and weither it had hop up or not. I will probably check tonight or sometime soon. I agree that this could be a bad thing. However, the Kmarts in my area have been selling a bb gun(daisy i think) that is a replica of a berreta 92. The local army surplus store did up the age requirement to by airsoft guns to 21, which was no problem since I just had my parents come with me.
Patrick, think more about what you're saying before you post.
Why would we ever buy paintball looking airosft guns made in america when japan and taiwan will always (fgor all intents and purposes, of course they won't make them for ever) make realistic looking guns? American soccer moms don't affect the far east manufacturers, so they won't change their products based on that. It's simple logic. You know where airsoft guns are made (atleast i hope so, you've been on this forum long enough), and you should know that the american market isn't the biggest concern to the majority of high end manufacturers. TM doesn't even consider us a market, and they refuse to sell directly to american based retailers.

I just called an hour ago and they said that they recieved Micro UZI's (Full Auto) and a couple of springers. He told me one of them was an desert eagle. I dont know about the 226 they had there but the P99 was manufactured by Walther/Crosman and is VERY tough. Has all trades, even serial number with slide lock, and hop-up. It is very accurate and a steady shooter. I might go pick up the eagle on tuesday or wenesday. Im buying all I can before the soccer moms kill airsoft in MI. Damn soccer moms.........
