Date- May 17th, 2003
Time- 10AM till 5PM
Place- Belleville, MI
Scenarios- We will be playing some scenarios I have come up with from taking levels from the US SOCOM Navy SEALs PS2 game and typing them up (with the help of the guide book, I have nothing else to say). They were supposed to be used at my OP this summer but I decided to try them now. We will also try a scenario that Chuck from FLAG gave to me a while back if time permits and if we get bored of scenarios we will play standard elimination games. It should be a GREAT time! BTW: scenarios will be posted (one or two, not all) 2-3 days before the event
Player Cap- NONE!
FPS Limits and game Rules- (SLIGHTLY modified FLAG Rules)
All weapons belong to one of the following three classes: - Support Weapons: Any weapon that can fire full auto and/or has multiple HiCaps (High Capacity Magazines) or Box magazines. The weapon is full length with bipods or look like a real support weapon. Maximum speed is 360-375 FPS. - Sniper Rifles: Any weapon that is either a semi or bolt action rifle. Full auto capability isn't allowed. Maximum speed is 420-430 FPS with .20 bbs (field specific rules below) - Standard Weapons: A weapon that is classified as any weapon other than those above. The suggested speed limit is 360-375 FPS.
Any guns shooting over that speed limit are subject to a thorough examination by US Airsoft (also knief, sting, or newman) and will be deemed usable on a case by case basis.
Any real weapons are strictly prohibited.
Any device that expels smoke is prohibited.
You may attempt to "Surrender" people, the person being asked to surrender must accept and surrender if the surrenderer is to their flanks or rear, out of plain view, and with a clear line of sight. This means no surrendering from behind a bunker. If the two players meet face to face, then the play between them must be called using something like "stop", "Hold up", etc. The two participants get 10 seconds to run/hide during which they cannot fire upon each other however they are fair game for other players and they can shoot other players. you MAY NOT fire upon any person with an Electric or gas powered weapon (EBB's excluded) if they are within engagement limit. If a shot must be taken at close distances, it is up to the shooter to maturely and honorably decide a humane place to shoot their target; preferable spots are the arms, legs, and chest; shooting at the head from that or any other is highly discouraged.
Engagement limits- for support weapons and assault weapons the engagement limit for this field is 15 feet and for snipers it is 20+ feet (to be decided when rifle is shot at the field before the games start)
Any US Airsoft leader (MikeCatt13 or Voss) ruling is the bottom line. If there is a dispute, both the US Airsoft leaders and the FLAG leader(s) will confer between themselves and will deliver a verdict.
In the spirit of good sportsmanship, if you: A)Feel B)Hear C)See a bb strike you, please call yourself out.
If a BB strikes a player in any part of the body including gear, excluding the player's Airsoft weapon that is being held in the player's hands, that player is eliminated. This includes ricochets.
This will be enforced strictly if the offense is provable, no witch hunts please. For a first time offense, the player will "sit" a number of games determined by the leader of FLAG present or the host of the game. On repeat offenses, the player may be temporarily or permanently banned from playing with FLAG.
In the spirit of good sportsmanship, do not fire bbs in a way to "bounce" them off one object and onto an opponent. That is not realistic, nor fair.
Performing a "Dead Man's Walk" (pretending to be dead for a limited time) off the playing field is prohibited. This also includes following dead players off the field and/or shooting behind eliminated players.
I think that covers the rules...
If I forgot anything or you guys have any questions please post and I will respond by answering your questions as soon as I can. Thanks and I look forward to seeing you out there!

Mikecatt, on the FLAG boards, someone mentioned having to switch out with paintballers every 15 minutes? What's up with that?

sometimes if the paintballers are there we have to switch with them (speedball and big field) every 15 minutes. they are real nice and in this case im 99% they will let us play the scenarios (we got the big field the WHOLE time last saturday) and im gonna make it a 4-5 part scenario so if they wanna change off we will play our scenario (each will probly be about 30-45 minutes long) and go play speedball with GBBs, AEGs (non-upgraded for speedball), and springers while they take their shift. it is usually not a problem and they are very nice about it (a couple weeks ago a couple of them asked where they can get airsoft guns to use at games). if you guys dont wanna come because we MIGHT have to switch off, fine thats your choice and i have no problem with that, but like i said sometimes we get the big/main field the whole time.
BTW: i will be posting the scenario (or at least the majority of it) tonight and will draw maps (may not be very good and will only have main bunkers) that will be passed out at the game to each team that can be used. the maps are so when objective 1 says "place satchel in 'the hotel'" you know what bunker has the name (dont ask, i heard the paintballers call it that one game but it makes sense since its a 2 story bunker with windkows) and where u have to put the fake satchel charges or whatever

So are there any requirements for coming to the games? By that, I mean do we have to be with a team, or an experienced player in order to participate in events?
PS...According to the FPS limits, I don't think a Mauser can be used in the games then, right?
Thank you.

No requirements, other than the posted rules.
And if the mauser is shooting greater than 420 FPS, then no, you can't use it. If it's possible to tone it down to that range, then Mike would have to make the call.

I use green gas through the Mauser right now and I think it pushes .43g's out at around 420, so hehe, I don't think that's going to work, but I'll try using HFC 134a. Do you know if there will be a chrono. there? If yes, then I can just test it on sight, if not, I'll just not use it. Thanks for the reply though. Dex

Mike doesn't have one, FLAG is in the process of getting one, but sort of awaiting donations. So unless somebody else shows up with a chrono, then no, there won't be one there.

It's near Bellville. Take 1-94 (probably east) to exit 187. There's a huge sign that says "Rawsonville". If you're exiting from the west, you're going to turn left off of the ramp at the light and continue to the last street. Take that right (after stopping at the stop sign). Then, turn left on "Old Rawsonville rd." This is IMMEDIATELY following a storage facility and right before the factory.

Cool, thanks jdl...
But does anybody have the exact address so I can just print out the directions from Mapquest...coz I'm not too good with directions, so that might be the safest bet for me.
Thank you.

nope but i will have my (well, my parents) cell on me and will post the number. no requirements like JDL said. dont bring the mauser unless u wanna show it off (VERY welcome, ive never seen one), it is a relatively small field so snipers (that are actually SNIPER RIFLES) probly arent gonna be used very often becuase if some one gets close (which would prolly happen) things could get dangerous with a 420 FPS gun with .43G BBs. for the scenarios i will need 1-2 snipers that can be upgraded AEGs (any AEG but still has to fall into FPS rules) that will be used on semi. if the sniper with an AEG kills someone with full-auto the sniper is out and the man shot is still in (fair enough?) i will NOT be posting scenarios tonight but rather tommorow or thursday so i can post them all at once and u guys can pick which u wann use (there are 12 sections in my scenario and we can only use 5-7 depending on time limits) i think that covered the questions there

SCENARIO IS DONE! here it is:
OP: Silent Strike
Operation Frostbite
Death at Sea (Mission 1)
Okay Team, we’ve got a complicated recon mission requiring stealth and discretion. A group of terrorists that call themselves the Iron Brotherhood (established by former Spetznaz operatives) have taken control of a barge and are using it as a vehicle to transport weapons. They trade their weapons with a known Black Marketing organization, the Zemy. The two are rendezvousing off the coast of Alaska in international waters. Intercept the enemies, gather Intel and scuttle the freighter. Men, stay quiet and in the shadows!
Objectives- 1) Secure Barge 2) Sever communications 3) Collect Intel 4) Scuttle freighter
Time Limit- 25 minutes
Ghost Town (Mission 2)
IF MISSION #1 IS A SUCCESS- Good work on the barge and freighter, team! Luckily, this next mission won’t be such a wet one. As we suspected, the terrorists have establishes a strong base in Alaska. We need you to gather as Intel on their activities and detain the terrorist Kola Petranko, AKA Pincushion, for questioning and send a clear message to the terrorists. The United States does not sanction terrorist activities in their soil, and while Alaska may be cold, it is still part of the U.S. Systemically destroy the terrorists weapon and supply caches (two of them). Good luck, team!
IF MISSION #1 IS NOT A SUCCESS- Let’s make this mission a success, unlike your last mission! Luckily, this next mission won’t be such a wet one so you might do better. Good luck and make this mission a success, team!
Objectives- 1) Obtain Intel 2) Secure compound 3) Destroy Weapons 4) Extract Captive
Time Limit- 25 minutes
Oil Platform Takedown (Mission 3)
IF MISSION #2 IS A SUCCESS: Good work in Alaska, although destroying the Brotherhood’s base hasn’t ended their threats. The have taken control of an oil platform in the Beaufort Sea. Most of the oil workers on the platform have been killed, but we know of some that are being held captive. The Brotherhood is also threatening to destroy the platform, which would result in a disastrous oil spill. Eliminate all the threats, defuse all bombs, and protect the oil hostages. It’s time to teach the Brotherhood their final lesson.
IF MISSION# 2 IS NOT A SUCCESS: Although you failed your mission in Alaska the brotherhood was hurt but is still hasn’t ended their threats. It’s time to finally teach the Brotherhood their final lesson.
Objectives- 1) Defusee the Bombs 2) Rescue the hostages 3) Secure Oil Platform
Time Limit- 25 Minutes
Thailand: Operation Good Karma
Golden Triangle Holiday (Mission 4)
We have a new mission for you. Terrorists have acquired highly valuable biological data. We think they stole it from a biotech smuggler out of Sri Lanka as he tried to cross the Straits of Malacca. The terrorists murdered him and his crew and then off-loaded the bio data; data that they are now moving deep into the jungles of Thailand. Intercept these terrorists at their island waypoint before they move further upriver. Hopefully, you’ll be there in time to retrieve the data.
Objectives- 1) Secure outer island 2) Secure main complex 3) Reclaim bio data
Time Limit- 40 Minutes
Temple at Hohn Kaen (Mission 5)
We don’t have time to worry about the loss of the Bio Data. The Riddah Rouge has taken captive the US Ambassador to Thailand and his wife. The terrorists have demanded ransom money and threaten to execute the hostages if their demands aren’t met. Intelligence tracked their movements to an abandoned Temple in the jungles of Hohn Kaen. You’re their last hope for survival. Good luck, team.
Objectives- 1) Clear insertion area 2) Secure Flank 3) Secure wife 4) Clear temple area 5) Helicopter Extraction 6) Secure Ambassador
Time Limit- 40 Minutes
City of the Forgotten (NOT Played) (Mission 6)
The Riddah Rouge must be stopped. While no ransom was paid for Ambassador Ness, Thongkon’s personal fortune may have allowed the Riddah Rouge to manufacture a small amount of Biological Agent. The Thai Government is becoming increasingly agitated with the threat of biological terrorism on their soil. You can stop the Riddah Rouge permanently. Capture Thongkon and retrieve the biological agents and data. And remember, while these men are dangerous, so are you.
Congo: Operation Swift Justice
Mercenary Staging Area (NOT Played) (Mission 7)
The Congolese government has requested our aid, team. A new mercenary organization calling themselves Preemptive Strike, has established a base of operations deep in the jungle. They are recruiting European strong-arms and are actively stockpiling weapons and ammunition. We are concerned about this new threat, but we need more information regarding their agenda and future plans. Infiltrate their camp, destroy targets of opportunity and gather as much Intel as possible.
POW Camp (Mission 8)
You’ve eliminated the mercenaries, but there is always more scum. The remaining mercenaries have ambushed and captured a patrol of U.S. Marines. These marines are being held at the mercenary base camp where they are torturing each one for intel. They have already begun digging graves for the hapless soldiers. Infiltrate the area, eliminate any mercenary threats, and protect the marines. Bring these men home, team
Objectives- 1) Secure entry area and area two 2) Secure POWs 3) Clear caves 4) Extract POWs
Time Limit- 30 Minutes
Mountain Assault (Mission 9)
One Captive Marine was not at their river camp. The mercenaries relocated him before your arrival. They will not be able to move him again. We’ve isolated the Marine’s current location and you’re going to save him, SEAL team. Infiltrate this mercenary stronghold in the Congolese jungle. Your are authorized to use any force necessary to return the Marine alive. Good luck, team.
Objectives- 1) Clear towers 2) Air strike bunker 1 3) Air strike bunker 2 4) Air strike bunker 3 5) Infiltrate bunker 6) Disable fuse box 7) Secure Marine
Time Limit- 35 Minutes
Turkmenistan: Operation Serpent Strike Prison Break (Mission 10)
WE have anew mission for you, team. One of our indigenous informants in Turkmenistan, Basim Maccek (a.k.a. Mr. Pickle), went silent last week. This week we know why. He is imprisoned in a Turkmenistan Detention Center in the mountains. We suspect that Maccek’s learned something about portable nuclear devices rumored to be on the move through the Middle East. You’ve got to get Maccek, SEALs. Find out what he knows and escort him to safety.
Objectives- 1) Infiltrate Prison 2) Release informant 3) Acquire map 4) Extract informant
Time Limit- 30 Minutes
Mouth of the Beast (NOT Played) (Mission 11)
Our informant has confirmed the presence of at least two suitcase Nukes in Turkmenistan and his map will help you with out new problem. The men holding Maccek were members of a terrorist organization, the Allah Sadikahu. We know their leader, Mullah Bahir Al-Qadi. His reputation as a ruthless commander is well-known. The Sadikahu have concealed their portable nuclear devices in a desert cave network close the Afghan border. Locate and destroy the Nukes. We believe Al-Qadi is also at this location. If found, he is to be neutralized. Eliminate all other hostile threats. Show them what we’re made of Team.
Deathblow (Mission 12)
Good work handling the Nukes, team. Now we need to end the Sadikahu threat. Mullah Al-Qadi and his brother, Imad, have retreated to a deserted bombed city in central Turkmenistan. Locate these men and neutralize them. Targets of opportunity are authorized, but focus primarily on the Al-Qadi brothers.
Objectives- 1) Eliminate Kitten 2) Eliminate Fat Cat
Time Limit- 20-25 Minutes
