I hope this is posted in the correct place. Anyway, so I'm looking to buy a new plate carrier for an OP this spring. I'm looking very heavily into the Flyye LT6094. store.specwarfare.com/en/flyye-new-lt6094-plate-carrier-vest-coyote-brown Now my question is, has anyone had any experience with this specific PC? What are the positives and negatives? Lastly I would like to know how adjustable is it? I'm 6'4" 265lbs. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. -Chubbs

I have had the Flyye 6094 for about a month and have used it only three times. However, it is very well made and I am very impressed with it. I feel very comfortable going prone and rolling around in it. The MOLLE is very sturdy and holds all my pouches firmly. There are 2 main downsides that I have noticed. One, that it is not very low profile. With all my pouches and hydro, I am a large profile target with lots of area to be hit. However, this my not apply if you run pouches that are more low profile. The second downside may be a personal thing, but I can't seem to find a way to take it off easily. There may be a quick detach point on the sides or something, but I have not been able to find it. Forcing me to do what seems like a rain dance to slide it over my head. Again, my be just me not being able to find an easier way. Overall, the pros easily out weigh the cons, and this PC is deffinately a good choice in my opinion.

The FLYYE 6094 is solid, but honestly, at 6'4" and 265lbs, it's going to fit you like a bra and not a PC. The FLYYE 6094 is sized to match the LBT 6094a, which uses medium plates. A guy your size is going to need something that takes large or even extra large plates, which would be the LBT 6094b or 6094c, if you want that style of PC. The only 6094b reproduction I know (I'm assuming you want to stay in the same price range as FLYYE) is the Toy Soldier: www.toysoldier.com.hk/product_details.php?pid=807Fortunately for you, the Toy Soldier 6094 is often reviewed to be slightly nicer than the FLYYE 6094. The 6094 is a great design, and not at all high profile as Android suggests. It's not the smallest PC on the market, but it's a hell of a lot lower profile than the PCs that were popular as recently as five or size years ago, and it has a very ergonomic cut. If you adjust it properly, it will stay out of your way unless you decide to bulk it up with a shit load of pouches. I own the LBT 6094 and it's just great to wear. Android, To take it off, lift the cummerbund flap and open one side of the cummerbund. Pull that shoulder strap over your head and side out of the side. You don't have to leave the whole thing put together and shimmy out of it. In fact, if you can do that, it's probably way too loose, which is why it feels bulky to you. Tighten the cummerbund in the back. If it's already as tight as it will go using the eyelets, then weave the cord through the webbing instead. There's no way you should be able to lift the thing off over your head.

I had one of these for a hot minute. I know the Flyye is listed as being a 6094A, but it seem a bit bigger than that to me. Of course, I'm 5'6" 140... so... The biggest "pros" for the 6094 in comparison to other PCs are the hydration routing and cable management ties, the diagonal loops for attaching a radio, the kangaroo pouch and the overall cut of the PC. Personally, I'm a bigger fan of the EPC, but the EPC is a more dated PC without the high-speed features of the 6094. Here are some reference photos I snapped when I was selling it.

I've had mine for about a year or two now. It's a pretty good plate carrier. Stitching is pretty good, materials are good.
From what I've read online, it's more of a 6094b. I know the front plate holds a large plate (made cardboard plates the same size as a large plate).
It should fit you, it is pretty adjustable so you should be fine.
I'm selling mine if you're interested, it is OD Green though.

The FLYYE 6094 is definitely not a 6094b. Three or four different people measured theirs to get the information in the thread I linked to. It's almost identical in size to my LBT 6094a.

I owned one for a few years now and I haven't had any problems with it. I like to run mine a little heavy with mags, just cause I like running my field setup so I'm used to the weight. I run a 2 ltr hydro, triple insert, triple m4, fastmag, and a triple pistol without any problems of ripping or fraying. To this date, never had a single problem with it once I got the cummerbund adjusted to my size. With all this said, I think Knief and Gimp are right with the sizing. I essentially match Gimp at 5'6" and 135lbs. Overall, if you're looking for a well built PC it'll most likely surpass you're expectations. I'd have no problem recommending it to anyone, but you'd have to make sure the sizing is correct for your own build.

Thank you everybody for the help and suggestions. I've decided to spend some more money and buy a Pantac 6094 or an A-two 6094b from Wcg.

A-Two stuff is junk by all accounts, and Pantac is no better than FLYYE. The Toy Soldier 6094b is going to be your best bet, and really, by a pretty wide margin. Is there a reason that you're not interested in it?

I'm interested in it for sure, but I'm looking to purchase rather soon and the toysoldier 6094b is out of stock and I can't find one anywhere else otherwise I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.

Shot them an email and see if they can pump one out for you. You could also check out the AWS OCPC from www.awsin.com. They're a US company that makes real steel gear, and they make a very nice copy of the 6094. It's also available sized for a large plate.

I'll definitely vouch for AWS, INC's products. I picked up their Split Front Chest Rig a year or so ago for 60 bucks when it was on sale, and it's surprisingly still on sale today. It's definitely built to last, so I would imagine their other products are just as good. Here's the link to the rig: www.awsin.com/proddetail.asp?prod=50680

Friend of mine actually has a AWS OCPC and he hasn't had a single problem with it (to my knowledge) and it still looks clean from damage after lots of use. I put it on before and it feels extremely nice as well comfortable.
