Hi there! I'm new around here and would like to know if anyone is selling full metal propane adapters with silicone oil port or if anyone can show me some for a good price!
Thank You!

I would highly recommend picking up a plastic propane adapter instead of a metal one, the tip of the metal ones can bend and they can also ruin the filling ports on your magazines. I have the plastic P-Force adapter I bought from Airsoft GI years ago and it still works perfectly. Most people would recommend the Airsoft Innovations adapter, which is in stock on Evike: www.evike.com/products/28087/

I agree. I had a metal propane adapter for a while and it got bent and chipped which made it difficult to fill the magazines. Had I had it longer it would have likely ruined the fill port as mentioned above.
All in all go with a high quality plastic adapter

Vector, who is one of the biggest butane distributors switched their fill nozzles from metal back to plastic. When I was working at a cigar shop, I saw a lot of lighters leaking when filled because of damage caused by the metal nozzle. I yelled at their rep a lot. The fill nozzle on a lighter is pretty much the same as on a GBB magazine, so I'm assume they would damage just as easy.
I cut a piece of foam to fit my adapter and transport it in that with no issue.

Hmm interesting. I own two of the original Airsoft Innovations propane adapters, one in brass and one in some other material and brass. The first one was recalled and replaced with the other one. I'll say I don't recall the reason nor do I recall which was the first one or the replacement. They both have worked equally well for me over the years. That said having a long stretch not involved in airsoft in the middle of that timeframe I wondered why I was seeing plastic ones all over now.
I will say just my own experience since I've used both of these for years, even during the time when I wasn't actively playing airsoft I was still using my GBB's for some indoor training type of applications off and on. As such I've filled allot of magazines with both of them. I haven't run into any problems with either one bending nor ruining fill valves. Maybe I'm lucky or careful but it hasn't been an issue for me at least.
That said doesn't look like they still make the versions I have so it's likely a non-issue as well the plastic ones will likely work just fine.

My AI plastic one seems to be indestructible. I've stuffed it in a bag that gets thrown around a lot and the tip is still just fine.

Alright guys, I'm going to put it to a vote Metal or plastic? because I have heard mixed advice about I should get a metal one because they are sturdy and also that I should buy a plastic one because it wont hurt my gas nozzle *~* euugh.

^ Exactly what Pagan said.
Just treat it like any other piece of gear. Respect = long lasting.

Sounds like the plastic ones are fine, like I mentioned I've never had a problem with my metal ones but if the plastic holds up no reason to take the risk or possibility of the risk.

I don't know, the Madbull propane adapter seems to hold more silicone oil than the plastic ones. I have never had a plastic adapter, but it seems like if you give the same amount of care to a metal adapter as to a plastic one, the metal one should last longer. I just bought a new steel fill valve for $5.00 that seems to be indestructible. The plastic ones also doesn't seem like a very good value, considering that it is a $15.00 piece of molded plastic and a tiny bottle of silicone.

You realize the amount of silicone needed is minimal, right? Like so small of an amount that you can add it directly to the magazine and not even have to put it the adapter? The members are suggesting plastic, because it's less likely to cause damage to the fill valve on the magazine, not because it's indestructible.

You are probably right about the amount of silicone oil needed. However, my point is that when you have a stronger fill valve, for example the steel one I purchased, the value of the plastic adapter now becomes relevant, because it has shown to be very difficult to damage the valve with the Madbull adapter. I think this because again, you are much less likely to break something in the metal adapter. So, the $20.00 purchase, in contrast to the $15.00 purchase, is going to last you longer, to not damage your valve, and only be about $10.00 more if you add the valves in. Keep in mind that this is just my opinion.
