Well guys I've got a question and I'm sure I'm not the first one to run into it but I can't see an easy way to fix it;)
So KWA Glock 19, god only knows how many rounds I've put through that gun, but it's a ton. It was my primary GBB for quite a long time and I used it allot on the field. I recently revived it from the dead. I was having some trouble with it cycling properly and jamming. Well I realized the disconnector wasn't working properly so by shimming the assembly in the slide it cycles and it works fine on my Glock 18c mags(I've got two standard ones and one 50 round extended). All of those work properly good blow back and perfect function. The flush mag that it came with is problematic now, I did some messing around with it and cleaning things up to where it will work but I only get a few rounds before it expels all the gas(indoors so cold isn't the issue). On a whim I applied pressure to the bottom of the mag pressing it up tighter into the mag well and against the nozzle(not sure if that's the correct term in GBB's). It cycled fine actually perfectly through the entire mag when I had pressure against it.
This brought me a memory of shimming I believe it was WE 1911 mags in this area to get a better gas seal. I took the KWA mag apart and I can't really figure out a good way to add material to this area. Thought about a small o-ring under the rubber section the gas goes through but couldn't make it work. I was looking at a few parts to replace on my next order for stuff springs and whatnot but I didn't see that piece of rubber as a replacement on Evike. Also by eye that rubber is sitting around the same height as the Glock 18c mags so it's not down or anything it looks like I remembered it etc. Also from the shimming of the entire mechanism in the slide it would bring the nozzle closer together so it would seem that doing that probably helped some rather than hurting this same issue.
Either way suggestions on how to get this mag back in action, I just made a trade and haven't delivered yet the Glock 18c as well as my other 3 mags along with it. So shortly I'll be down to just this flush fit mag and I'd like to get it up and running before warm weather gets here and I'll have the chance to use it.
Thanks!
Luke
