Well guys I've got another question I've been reading up and considering. I've got a KJW 1911 double stack basically a Para P14 more less. Trouble is this time of year of course GBB guns are borderline useless with the temps down as low as they are. So I've been looking into other ways to get this gun in action or a handgun for that matter. I've got very little experience with CO2 guns overall never owned them in pellet guns or anything of the sort. So I'm considering picking up one of the CO2 mags for this KJW and it looks like they are compatible from what I've been finding.
What sort of luck are you guys having with CO2 guns in lower temps? Have you guys gone to using that sort of thing for winter, or is there something else out there I haven't seen. I've considered the TM electric basically mini AEG's those came out right before I was gone from airsoft but they seem to have lost allot of steam in popularity. I'm not seeing much of anything there other than a CYMA Glock clone of the TM, and it's interesting but the FPS is honestly a bit of a concern. I play outdoors pretty much here, and range can be an issue. Considering in the past I've taken kills past 130ft with my old KWA Glock 19 I'd rather not go to something that will only be accurate to maybe 100ft max.
So end result what are you running for sidearms that work in the colder temps, and as a sideline question I've heard of guys running MAP gas instead of propane because it apparently runs a higher pressure curve. According to some of the things I've found it might actually be what was considered "red" gas back in the day. So if you've had luck with that or any experience that would be appreciated as well. I've got 6ish GBB's right now, several of them are WE 1911's which never do well with gas efficiency with the single stack mags anyways. But I do have several double stack guns that are typically better but just suck in winter and always have;) So I'm hoping there has been some sort of advances there that I haven't heard about yet.
Take care!
Luke
