Title pretty much sums it up. I'm getting a kalashnikov AK and I'd like to pick up some mid caps for it. Before I waste my money I was curious if anyone here knows what brands feed good. I've been doing some digging and I'm not really finding much and I'm short on searching time. Any and all info would be much appreciated.

Nobody's going to be able to help without the exact model of the aeg. Posting a link to it would help. All companies replicas have their own quirks.

That doesn't list the manufacturer, however you should be alright with most mags.

Sorry, like I said I'm pretty short on downtime right now. That should answer my question though. Thank you for your time. I'm getting some G&P mid caps.

Nah, it's not your fault. The description from AM is a bit shady on details.

The Mag Band AK's will work.
My recommendation though are the Ares midcaps, though i've been having a hard time finding them stateside.

That rifle listed is a DBOYS rebrand, which is an excellent, if not THE best, starter AK. I haven't ran into any feeding issues with any types of AK mags in my DBOYS, so I'd say you shouldn't run into any problems with just about any AK mag out there.
G&P mags should work just fine, however I'd advise something a little bit cheaper such as MAGs. Unless you're dead set on having metal magazines, the MAGs will save you a ton of money. IIRC, you can buy a box of ten for ~60 bucks, instead of getting 3 G&Ps for the same price.

MAG brand mags are great, just watch for overloading. I had a M4 mag split open on me once, all the others have been fine.

I seem to remember a review where a guy takes it apart and was able to identify it when he took the gun apart. Either way, great gun. I miss mine. Actually I'm certain it's CYMA.

Thanks to all! Lots of good advice. I'm keeping my options and my eyes open. I won't be buying anything until tax return anyways.

Dang, you're right, Ogre. I was always under the impression that the Kalashnikov traded clones were all DBOYS. I stand corrected.
