Everyone is fearful once they get into lipos that they'll blow up or catch Fire and then after a while forget about it. DONT FORGET! Today I came home from school and my dog climbed on my desk and grabbed a lipo she somehow punctured it and it cought Fire, I have a huge burnt spot on my carpet and I'm lucky my house didn't burn down. Remember to store your lipos in a safe dry fire proof container while charging and out of use. Pics will be up soon if the damage. And yes my dog is ok.

That is really crazy. I always cringe while I'm chronoing guns and see people with lipos taped to the outside of their guns. I really hope I never see a battery get shot and vent on somebody's face. Also, if your battery is ballooned out like 3 times its normal size, it is probably time to safely dispose of it.

Yeah, I keep all of my batteries in a lipo sack for storage. And my dog doesn't go in my room. Sorry to hear about the mishap, but next time keep them safer place.

I would be considered about touching/ breathing in the battery stuff.
Glad everything is okay

Holy lipoly batman, that is one burnt battery. That's close to a worst case scenario for a battery meltdown/fire/explosion. At least it didn't ruin something even worse.

How the hell did your dog's face not melt??? Total agree, your dog is one tough SOB. This is just a good, yet hard-hitting reminder to keep all of your gear, guns, and accessories in a safe place from both the environment and other.

How the hell did your dog's face not melt??? If the dog kept it in its mouth after it was on fire that dog is either the dumbest dog I know or has brass balls. Or both.

Ma ma is going to be pissed. Ha ha. It must have been a smaller lipo. I had a 7.4v 4200mah catch fire on me because I tried to force it into my mp5 stock and I shorted it internally. 1 cell started spewing black smoke and orange flame. I snatched it from the gun and tossed it into the front yard. It burned very hot for about 2 minutes, I could feel the heat from it 15 feet away. A half hour later I went to pick it up and it made the water on my skin sizzle. I say you are very lucky you did not burn your house down.

I think what happened was she ripped out the wires and the Sparks scared her so she left it alone but she punctured it or somthing in the process and it caught fire.

We should just drop lipo batteries on ISIS instead of bombs.

Lithium + water = fire Never try to put out a battery fire with water. Actually, never try to put out any kind of electrical fire with water.
Not saying anyone here did...just a reminder.

Sorry to hear about that incident chapy. Glad to hear everything is ok. I actually store mine in my basement on the cement ground and in a lipo bag. The basement helps to keep the batteries in a stable environment and away from anything flammable.
