You guys will be the only official field between Kalamazoo and Ypsilanti so you can probably expect a decent amount of players. You guys can expect my attendance at most events you hold and I'll probably usually bring 3-4 guys. I (and most of the others) would be more interested in the woods field. I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend, but you can count me as a maybe.
How often do you plan to hold airsoft events?

The END Goal is to run airsoft as we do paintball, open play rec games every weekend. But we are starting small before we jump into the game. True airsoft events will be determined on how many players we can get for open players.

Starting small is probably a good idea. I would say, though, that $25 is a little high... Most of us have our own BBs so paying extra for ammo might deter players rather than bring them in. I would say $20 is more do-able, but I don't mind paying a little extra for a closer field.

The goal of selling our own bbs included in the entry is to make sure the bbs we use at the field are biodegradable. We would also like to be a field bb only facility, but it is incredibly difficult to ensure players use only our bbs, that's why we include 2,500 rounds with entry.

I was super excited to see an airsoft game announced at this field until I read this. Entry to this event includes 2,500 BB's of Valken Bio. $25 for entry and .2 BB's. 30$ for entry and .25 BB's. 35$ for entry and .28 BB's.

Yeah, I don't have a problem using Bio BB's but I have a full unopened bag (3800 rounds) left over from Grayling, and don't want to buy more, when it's not needed.
I can support a field wanting to use Bio BB's, and having them available for purchase for those that don't have them.
I know that field paint is a thing for paintball and didn't have a problem buying field paint when I played, but it was separate from the admission and if I had unopened bags left over I could bring them back next time and not have to buy paint again until I used up what I had already purchased. I wasn't forced to buy paint every time, and could buy as much or as little as I wanted (full bag minimum - 500 rnds).
Seems like a steep markup for BB weights when the differences for 5000 round bottles is $3.00 -$4.00 between .2 and .25 and the same between .25 and .28. And you are only providing half that amount of BB's. So since I run .28's I am paying an extra cost for BB's above what the difference in actual cost between them is than those using the lower weights, for entry and 2500 BB's of a brand I don't normally use.
This field is really close to me, so I may check it out, though that would be the first weekend in November which is a child visitation weekend for me, so I doubt I will be able to attend.

This place is fairly close to me, but since I run all my guns with .28s, I can't justify spending $35 on a rec game. Just my .02ยข

Glad to see the field is getting back up and running, especially for airsoft! You can plan on seeing me there.
Just my input on your fees and the idea of including bbs along with the fee. The idea of having bbs included in the entry fee seems like a good concept for players who would rent a rifle or maybe come to an open play and not play as often as the members here at MiA. Majority of us buy bbs in bulk and have a lot on hand and can't justify spending the extra cash to get more bbs that we will probably not end up using anyway. Many players have preferences to a certain company's bbs and some rifles are picky on what they will feed so forcing players to purchase bbs in order to play may steer players away.
My advice would be to include a flat $20 fee to play without purchasing bbs as that would be much more appealing to members on this forum. By all means continue to have the option to purchase bbs at an increased price though, it may appealing to the newer players who haven't built up a stock yet.
EDIT: For the full-face mask requirement. Will a shemagh/balaclava suffice or must we have a solid form of protection like one of the wire mesh protectors?

I agree with Foxhound, offer a $20 rate with no bb's for those who already have a lot. I will definitely be there with a few guys. I might take the bb deal however because my current bbs, P-Force bio bbs, are god awful.

I want TCPaintball to succeed. I want you guys to make money off this and become a huge and successful field. Why do I care? Because it means a great Airsoft field close by. But you will not be successful if you deter players by forcing them to pay for BBS (and as you can see, it certainly will) my suggestion: drop the price by eliminating the bb requirement and allow people to use their own BBs. This will certainly make the field a highly successful field. You're in the perfect pocket for a good buisness, just heed some advice and it could be great. EDIT: For the full-face mask requirement. Will a shemagh/balaclava suffice or must we have a solid form of protection like one of the wire mesh protectors? Seconded. I personally hate mesh wire protectors.

I'll probably call into work for this one. Considering Abbot has been doing everything he can to get me out on the field i owe it to him to actually meet him.
I'm bringing my own BB's. I've got 12,000 Elite force bios that I'd really rather not let go to waste.
If the field bbs are necessary, i'll go the .20's and put them in my pistol, if it's not to cold. If it is, I'll use them in my shotgun.

Thank you all for your interest in this field and our rec game coming up. We will be reviewing our pricing structure and will release the information as well as a new flier by the end of the week. once again thank you all for your interest. A shemagh/balaclava is acceptable. Soft cover is fine so long as it covers mouth/nose.

Also be sure to post this in the event section instead of event planning to attract more players.
