I've read about that, and I was wondering what I would carry them in. I would like something along the lines of a tactical sling, not a huge plate carrier type thing.

If you don't want a plate carrier, I'd suggest a chest rig of some sort. They tend to be lighter than plate carriers, and you can get lots of options. Some have MOLLE for mounting whatever pouches you like, and others have pre-sewn pouches with a specific idea in mind, mainly magazines and utility pouches. Some people run their gear on battle belts for an even lower profile, but to each their own. Start on an airsoft retailer website like Evike or Airsoft GI just to get an idea of what's out there.

Another question (wasn't sure if to make another thread or not), I have thought about getting the matrix m4 (http://www.evike.com/products/42392/) then changing the polymer receiver for a metal one, would changing the receiver involve anything other than moving the gearbox and other things in the receiver? If it's anything more than that I will probably have someone else do it, but I thought I would try "modding" a gun once I got it.

Buying an entirely new metal receiver, even without trades, would be about $100. But if you would like to do modifications, then buy a decent base gun, so you don't end up replacing everything.

Nope. www.evike.com/products/49285/ (6mm Proshop, blank: 52$) www.evike.com/products/28635/ (JG, blank: 46.75) www.evike.com/products/39772/(G&P, W/ trades, 79.20) There are plenty of sub 75$ Metal body options out there. The matrix M4, in my opinion, is not worth the money. Save up a little and get the KA Nylon M4 or a Combat Machine by G&G, you'll be better off in the long run. I've yet to see a CM go down unless someone was doing something stupid. By the way... Welcome to the sport!

I've been corrected, my apologies. But I agree with Puma1 that the Matrix is not your best option.

Seeing this thread has continued, and the fact that you guys have ruled out the matrix, I still have too decide between the Combat Machine (http://www.evike.com/products/32676/) and the WE-Tech Full Metal M4 (http://www.evike.com/products/32676/). I feel like the Combat Machine would be better to get, because I could upgrade the receiver to metal and learn how to do that. Any more opinions?

As I said before, the Combat machine is a well known platform, and a replica that many people own. However the WE-Tech is fully metal out of the box, and has arguably better internals compared to the Combat machine. Also they are the exact same price, where if you were to buy a metal receiver it would be about $50 more.
