Mainly in a outdoor environment, what is your opinion on the best camouflage for Michigan airsoft? Personally I think MARPAT or a tacs fg is the best, but I am curious what others think

CADPAT works really well here in the summer. A ton of green. Flectarn is my go to during fall when there is more yellow and orange. During winter I like to run white bottoms with some sort of tan top.

ATACS FG is top notch, but overall Multicam is probably the best.

Woodland or Desert MARPAT, based on the season.

Michigan has very diverse environments, hardwoods, swamps, prairie like, evergreen forest, snow, ect. Saying one camo is the best for Michigan is next to impossible, because camo is designed for either very specific environments, like hunting camos, or broad environments like most military camo.
No military camo is going to offer you complete concealment anywhere, they aren't really designed to. They are made to try to break up silhouettes as best they can in various environments.
Also, most airsoft engagements are close enough where pretty much any camo you are wearing isn't going to make much of a difference. The only exception would be a very carefully crafted ghillie matched with a knowledge of how to blend it into the environment, and finding the right place to hide before somebody notices you hiding there. That said, I've hid from people wearing woodland camo just as effectively as people in a ghillie on the field.

I like good ole M81 woodland. It works just fine for me at No Limits and Hell's Survivors (people have walked to within 10-20 feet of me multiple times). Just lying down and not moving is key. People see motion very easily even with camo.

Sure... but it doesn't necessarily do it as well as solid colors do. There are plenty of options, just choose what you like the looks of and go from there. Multicam works a lot of the time, woodland is still adequate, temperate MARPAT can do wonders in mucky areas, and the other armies of the world can all weigh in as well. Personally, I'd go for whatever's not going to get you shot by your buddies.

I use Woodland Digital, and people have walked within 10 feet of me and not seen me.

The absolute best camouflage is a well constructed ghillie suit.

Anything with a lot of brush, then M81 is definitely top notch. Like Snarf said, so long as you don't move, people can get ridiculously close to you. If I had the money for it though, I'd say CADPAT or ATACS-FG take the crown, with multicam being most versatile.

I've had very good experience with Woodland MARPAT. So have other members of my team. It works perfectly in the darker, deep-forests. Even in a well-lit field, it works well if you know how to position yourself. Woodland MARPAT works best in shadowy or darker areas, with deep greens.

As others have said, you should, ideally, match your camouflage to your environment and/or season. That said, I've found that cover and concealment is far more important for the ranges that we play at. Camouflage may be useful if you're caught in the open, or can't conceal your entire body, but making good use of terrain to shield you from detection is more important.
Obviously, pick a camouflage pattern that suits the general range of environments in which you play. But beyond that you should also consider the features of a given uniform. The old school M81 woodland BDUs lack a lot of the newer, nicer features of the ACU, FROG, MCCUU and other (Crye, etc) uniforms.
