I was thinking and I had a pretty cool idea. How cool would it be to get a huge group of people a lot of guns and have a huge Hunger Games. There's only 1 problem, I don't know a lot of airsofters, own an airsoft place, or have a lot of guns so I was curious to know if anyone knew of any places planning a scenario like this. If any of you know of any places or groups of people doing this sorta thing please let me know. Either pm me or comment below. Thanks in Advance
Update 8/27/14 It's apart there are mixed ideas about this, but for the few that thought this was pretty cool, I wouldn't mind planning An event like this. I'm about as sharp as a baseball. That's why I used stupid text speak. if you would wana do a thing like this. Maybe a tournament format with the winner getting a prize.
Some backround info. I myself am 14 but do have experience and take the sport of airsoft very seriously.

The concept is pretty sweet, the only problem with it is nobody is going to want their replica sitting in a "Cornucopia" or laying somewhere on the field for any Tom, Dick, or Harry that runs by to pick up. I certainly wouldn't. If a field had an assortment of guns they could put out for that purpose, then you might get more participants.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q591ObyuoBUThis is what they have done in California. Keep in mind though that this video is of a small group of friends, so leaving their guns around is not as big a deal for them. It would work decently if somebody had a bunch of old combat machines that could be used without having worry about them breaking or getting stolen. It would also be interesting to leave a bunch of springers in the mix to make the game play more challenging. It would also be interesting to have dummy knives and axes for players to grab'and'stab.

I probably wouldn't put mine in but I've talked to some people and they said that they've used a combination of melee and rental guns. I know most places wouldn't do this but I think this could make a great event for a place that own many rental guns.

I can't see this game being entertaining for more than 10 minutes. There is no way you could really turn it into a long scenario game, because people would pay to come out to an event expecting to play for a full day, only to get out in the first 10 minutes.... Then what do you have for them? Also not many people are going to want to pay $20 at a field to use some crappy springer or rental gun. Nobody in their right mind would let their high end gun be left out like that either.
I wouldn't even want to attempt to host an event like this because it would be a total flop within 10 minutes and people would be complaining.

I think It could be pretty fun. Just don't get out,!maybe set a grace period. I think it could work I just don't have to power or the resources to make it happen. I bet a lot of people would pay for this.

This game type would probably be best for a small group like a team just for fun. It could possibly be a mini game at a REC event, but it couldn't be anything more than that. You could bring it up at No Limits towards the end of an event because that's when they have the fun random games like civil war or pistol matches (there's less people at the end too).

There is no way we would run a game at No Limits that involves using other people's guns.

Again just an idea. I've heard pheonix tactical sometimes uses rental guns. If anyone has some old guns maybe some plastic ones they'd put in Id be down. I put a couple of my own in

This could work at CQB places, or in the scenario shown in the video. But no where else, really.

The video from Airsoft GI that Rust put up. Again, those guys are small group of friends playing a closed game. I can't imagine doing this at a rec game with a bunch of strangers. If Timmy Tacvest picks up my $300 gun and breaks it, then we have a problem.

We'll try this game scenario right after we play a "slappers only" round....
Yeah, this scenario sounds best for a small group of players to try out. I didn't even watch the movies or read the books, but isn't the whole premise of it for there to be a limited group of people?

Gunny, 24 players in a free for all. The idea is to team up with some people to last longer, but eventually you'll have to turn against your allies if you want to win it.
I couldn't see this game working out very well as free for all games usually don't seem to work out very well. It would either be a 10 to 20 minute game, or you could make it into a long scene game, but that comes back to the issue of what happens when a player gets out? A scene game like this would also take a very large field with enough cover.
As a rec game... Well free for all on a small field would be entertaining for about 5 minutes.
