On 8-4 I placed a $400 order with Airsplat. The item stated it was in stock. Soon after the item was updated to out of stock, so I called to see if my order actually went through. They had charged my card already, but the customer service rep informed me that I was backordered for 7 weeks. I told her to cancel and refund me. Yesterday, 8-5 I called again to see if I was cancelled and also sent an email. They said they would cancel it on the phone, have not got an email reply yet. Order status does not show that it is cancelled on their website.
I'm hoping I hear from them today so I don't have to open a paypal dispute. I really don't like the fact that they processed the charge for an item that expensive, knowing that it was out of stock.
We'll see what happens, but until then, my score is a D-. The only reason they aren't an E is because the customer service lady was actually polite, but just seems like they did not do what I asked.

I've never not had an issue with air splat. Bought a battery and charger from them a while back and not only did it take a month to get here, but it was also the wrong battery. Then last summer I tried to buy a few small external pieces from them and never received them... Filed a dispute and after nearly 3 months I finally received them. Don't know why airs plat is such a shitty retailer or how they're still in business. Hope all turns out well for you.

I've got enough evidence of contact to file a paypal dispute. I understand that they have to capture the card and put a pending transaction on it, but don't follow through and process the transaction a day after you tell the customer it is out of stock. That is bad business.
