Before you guys start building, the first thing you need to do is go to the SFOD field and check out their city and try to understand it. It's an incredibly well crafted defensive strong hold with a lot of dynamic attack points that require a number of different tactics. Even the bigger village at Hell Survivor doesn't play as well as the SFOD city.m It also shrinks the field and kind of ruins it because of it's location. Nobody ever plays away from the city because there isn't enough space to the sides of it to get two teams there. SFOD was simultaneously one of the greatest and most frustrating fields of all time. Figure out what they did well and avoid what they did poorly and you'll be money.

I had the oppertunituly to test the field this past Saturday along with some OCAA members and a few other invitees. Other than the limbs and logs strewn everywhere that will take significant effort to cleanup, I feel the logging has vastly expanded the potential of the entire field.
I've already discussed in some detail my opinions with Ogre but I want to share a bit with everyone on MiA.
The field now has four or five circular/oval shaped clearings dotted throughout it's entirety. This has placed an increased strategic value on treelines and will afford team/squad leaders several new locations to push their players toward capturing. Im guessing these clearings make up about a 1/3 of the field and the field even feels much larger because of them. There are now logging roads that span most of the property, if utilized properly will also prove good strategic points.
I could go into much more detail; but overall I'm way impressed with what this field could become. However, as Ogre has mentioned to me, it will be quite awhile until we see any events there because it needs a ton of cleanup and work. He has also talked much about building structures and trenches in the clearings, however I don't believe building anything until the field is cleaned and properly play tested would be wise.
Since Ogre is planning to move into hosting paintball in addition to airsoft, i've reccomended he build his speedball field ASAP. That way he has a source of revenue and keeps player's intrest high while he works to build his big milsim dream field.
