X just received his new gun from Evike G&P Full Metal Magpul PTS Custom CQB MOE Experimental Airsoft Carbine (Black). The link to it on Evike is: www.evike.com/products/33102/Has anyone else received their G&P as show in the following picture? He said it had some paperwork in the package also that was all beat to crap due to the gun just rattling around in the box. I'm asking because I was considering ordering one tonight, but after seeing this and also hearing about the hopup, I'm a little concerned. The story with the hopup is that X said that the adjustment wheel only rotates like 45 degrees. This is seriously less than what we are use to with the KWA's that we currently use. This also concerns me since I'm planning on R-Hopping this gun and it will make the install of an R-hop much harder if I have to be that super precise, due to not having a lot of adjustment. Is it possible that it is actually adjusting just as far, but just without as much precision as we are use to with the KWA's?

Stache's custom G&P Sentry (also from Evike) was packaged the exact same way; I saw it myself. I don't know if it's a G&P thing or an Evike thing.
EDIT: Also came with most of the accessories (rail covers, foregrip etc.) not attached, just banging around the box. Nice box though.

Out of the three g&p I've bought new, NONE of them came packaged like that. Mine all had packaging material around the replica, so there was no movement.

Did you buy yours off of Evike Pagan?

Did you buy yours off of Evike Pagan? Yes I did get them all from evike. I had the same one you purchased, a zombie killer, and just a standard m4. The hopup wheel doesn't sound right though. All of mine have had a full range of movement. Did you check to see if the screw in the wheel is cranked too tight?

All of the G&Ps I have ever purchased new (3 or 4) came packaged like that. This includes my M733 and M4A1, both of which came from overseas. Basically a thin piece of foam on the bottom and top inside a cardboard box. The M16A2/M203 that I ordered from Evike came the same way. Maybe with some of those air-filled bags? I can also remember being a bit shocked by G&Ps shitty packing. The G&P hop-ups in all but one of my G&Ps were garbage. I never noticed anything about the hop-up unit itself, but they never seemed to provide a good amount of hop-up. I was just telling someone earlier today that I make it a point to replace all my G&P hop-up units with Prowins. Now, to be fair, a total replacement probably isn't needed so much as a replacement of the bucking and nub. edit: I added the bubble wrap in this photo, the rest is as shipped: My M16A2/M203 as shipped. There might have been some paper work and the magazine was in a little cardboard box.

I did buy all of mine at least three years ago. So that could be the difference in my experiences.

If there wasn't an F'in 30% restocking fee I would just send this thing back. Right now I'm trying to figure out if I can find a legitimate reason to warranty it.

I doubt it would be worth it to return it once you factor in restocking fees and return shipping.
Is the gun beat up as a result if being so poorly packaged? If so, I can understand returning it. Otherwise I`d just toss a new unit in it and hit the field.

His Semi isn't working either, at this point he's kinda boned.

Its not broke. It works, you just sometimes have to switch to full then back to semi to get it to work.
Edit: apparently people are dremeling out the "bump" that stops the hop up adjustment as a fix.

When firing? Or when just dicking around with no battery plugged in?
I`ve noticed semiauto lock up from time to time with a battery in the gun. I think someone mentioned this in the other thread.

Its not broke. It works, you just sometimes have to switch to full then back to semi to get it to work. The only times I ever experienced this is when I was REALLY fast on the trigger in semi with a powerful battery, but it did happen with every G&P I've had both new and used. Once I switched to just using 7.4vs I haven't ran into again. Just dicking around with no battery. Now that's a new one to me.
