I was looking for a new gun because futureball was the only place my UMP did good, the only other place was at SIN CITY at hells survivors. I was looking for a new gun a looked a snipers for a while and then watched some FMJ and thought about a SAW then found a great M60VN for a low price. I was wondering if you all thought it was a good idea because I obviously didn't know what I was doing when I hastily bought a UMP thinking I was never leaving futureball. the gun would give a terrifying appearance and such and would be amazing to mount up with but I don't know how many people think it would be a good idea. just leave your opinion down below. here is a link to it. www.evike.com/products/33325
Thanks.

A&K's are pretty much your entry level LMG's, several teammates of mine have had them and we were less than impressed. A well known high end brand will be better unless you are going to upgrade this gun to be more reliable. I would suggest Classic Army or Echo1 if you can afford it.

I wish I could afford it. $395 is a crap ton of money for a 13 3/4yrd old. I am getting a job in the fall, would you at least say they are somewhat high-end but still entry level as long a LMG's go? and yeas I am upgrading it, well not me my friend who is on my team "Viking" does a lot of tech work and made a lancer tactical internally decent... at 13 years old. I was thinking a 6.03 tightbore and a hard type Prometheus bucking. what say you?

That's where another member of the forum is going to have to chime in here as I don't have too much experience other than they are the JG's of the LMG world

A&K box mags can be a pain in the butt. Sometimes they have some feeding issues. If you put some work into them, they can be a pretty good workhorse.

They aren't all that bad, if you want it. Buy it.

I fully understand that the A&K is an auto feeding high cap. They make a pretty cheap magazine. Again, like I said, you will most likely have to do some work on the box magazine to make it work reliably. The mods to the box mag are fairly easy. You just have to take it all apart and file some things down so it doesn't try to double stack bbs into the feed tube.
Also, the mosfet has nothing to do with the box mag feeding. Mosfets are like a relay. They separate the trigger switch from the high current of the motor to prevent arcing and improve the life of the trigger contacts.

I have a few friends that own/have owned all sorts of A&K machine guns and have told me that A&K's M60, MK43, and PKM are built like tanks both inside and out, but still need a little work on the inside. A new hopup is almost immediately required, the potentiometer that is used to adjust the ROF needs to be disabled, and the motor could be replaced. The M249, however, needs more work than the other guns.

I have experience with A&K as a brand, and their products are fine under certain conditions. I say this because they come out of the factory not being very quality control tested, meaning that they are hit or miss. It is very possible that you could get a perfectly functional LMG that will last you for a long time, or you could get a crappy one that will take a long time to replace/ship back. My weapon I purchased from them was fine until I started taking it apart, which led to me exacerbating the faults. My best advice, buy a second hand one off eBay that is known to work for the same relative price.

I own two A&K M60vn's and both have been great guns. I have never had feeding issues with the box mags, both feed great and work flawlessly. Internals have been good in both, one did break an axle on the spur gear, but that was after some serious time on it. The biggest downside is that out of the box almost every bolt needs to be gone over and tightened, and the several where the front end attaches to the main receiver need to have Loc-tite applied to them or you'll be tightening them after every use.
Now do I think it's the right AEG for you, Hell no! You are 13.5. This gun is almost 18 pounds and is heavy as all hell to carry around all day at a game. Plus it is very long which makes maneuvering it around a field difficult to do with out snagging the barrel on everything. But please do go ahead and buy it, and then in a month or two when you decide that you hate humping that big pig all over a field, let me know so I can buy it cheap from you. (That is how I ended up with my second one.)

I have nothing else to say, I am going to buy it and try my best with it. I am going to go from a extremely light UMP to a polar opposite. I will have a lot of "fun" trying to find a place to set up and shoot. this should be... an experience.

Not to be a buzzkill, but why don't you just get an assault rifle? LMGs are great and all, but there's a reason most people use assault rifles (and the majority of those are AR variants). Assault rifles are very adaptable, and can come in many sizes and types to fit your style of playing.
And more on topic, I've heard mixed things about the A&K m60, most of which has already been said. One of my friends has their Masada and it's a piece of crap. A&K is hit or miss, so I'd recommend a different brand. And if you get an assault rifle, you can potentially save money.....(cough cough combat machine).
Just my $0.02

Just my $0.02 Cough cough, I've got an awesome combat machine package for a heck of a deal in the commerce section. But in all seriousness I think I'd have to agree. LMG's are super cool and carry that intimidation factor, but when it comes down to it assault rifles are leaps and bounds more adaptive. All of my experience with A&K is same as countless persons before me. They are a hit and miss brand. Basically a kind of (buy at your own risk) brand.

I have an A&K M60 VN. It's heavy but a shoulder strap helps the weight. I modded it with a new bucking, modded the hop up unit so it actually works and a TBB. I run it with a 9.6. Very good gun. Biggest problem I have is the feeding spring being bent that the BBs will not feed.
Unless you are a big guy, I wouldn't get one being so young. Maybe a 249.
