Well, I'm beat to hell, sunburned even with suncreen, and I still got to unload all of my stuff from the car, but I just needed to write right out of the shower. Man, what a day! First off, a round of applause to Team Rage for such a great day. I can't say whether or not you guys have topped my memories for best days out on a field, but today was pretty darn close. Special notice to Relarz for putting up with my inability to find my own rucksack/direction at times. Phenix, mighty thanks for loaning me your speedloader for the day, and for all the chit-chat. Matic, thanks for putting up with me throughout the day. Thoughts on games/day: Now, as a precaution, I will say that for most of the day as the crazy Russkie, I was not primarily involved with objectives/props for the day, so my thoughts are more of a side glance. Game 1, EOD: Not quite sure what to say, other than that ridge is a meatgrinder. I was having flashbacks to March 9, when the roleplayers held the village all day. It really can be challenging to hold both the city and the ridge line, and I felt like both sides gave it hell. Obviously there was some issues with full auto, hit calling, etc., but I do not believe it got to the point where the game got unplayable. Quite enjoyed picking of you tans from way down below the ridge line for awhile. Got a nose trophy from the first half that I await the horror from mother, thanks lads. Game 2, Counter Strike Source/ Hostage rescue: Well, rescue is such a hap-hazardous term, more like "liberated from earthly soil" in the end. I only recall us greens killing one. The game seemed a bit short, but I account that to game 1 more than anything. I don't believe we swapped roles though, since it was close to lunch break. Now, at this point after the lunch break I got a bit confused on games, because I am not sure whether or not game 3 was as described in the event thread, and the order we played them in. I just recall us greens having to try and take the Tippman Towers at one point, which was an odd game for me, since I managed with one other person to sneak around the entirety of Tan's defense line, only to find that the game had ended shortly after the two of us got up behind the Towers. Game 4, Domination: Mixed feelings on this one, since naturally as a green I like the pushes we made, but once we got to the bridge, everything slugged down. This is the game I probably began to experience what I like to call "reconnap" which basically means being stuck in a spot (tall reeds) for quite some time hearing the chaos around and trying to figure out whether or not the team was pushing or just holding position. Tan still gave us (I suppose I should say me) hell for any of those blind pushes though. Game 5, I think?: The ctf game was unfortunately the one I had the least interactment with, mostly because I pulled the same sneak pattern with Matic and a few younger lads again, only to find that Tan was nowhere near Tippman Towers. When we saw no one around, I thought that perhaps Tan had all moved down the hillside to try and take Green's flag. Would have been a story for the year had we succeeded. From that point on I kinda just stayed out of the actual game. We had one of the younger lads have a nasty tumble, and with Matic's radio in hand I stayed with the lad till he felt ready to get back in, then pretty much stood near some barrier watching tans cross a path back to their respawn for the rest of the game, bar escorting a tan player to the towers to get his bag, which earned me a fake knife kill to my chest (I seem to attract knife kills whenever I wear my suit). Ended with leading another of the younger lads down till I ran into I believe Mosin and then headed out to pack up. Apparently green still won in a fashion I did not believe at first. Anyways, it was a great day, and I thank each and every one of you all for making it out to be that way, whether you be my fellow greens, or those dastardly tans. Sure I am forgetting a lot more people's names, but I hope to see many of you again someday. Gott in Himmel, I need pain pills...

First off, I just want to thank everyone that came out. Total player count was 67, which isn't too bad for a somewhat shorter notice rec game. As some of you might have gathered, we had four RAGE staff on hand in the morning up until around 3pm, and then it dropped down to myself and Troub, so I just want to thank everyone for making it pretty easy on us and possible for us to run the event. We started 30 minutes behind schedule, mainly due to late shows. We had a few growing pains with Hell Survivors because this was our first game we had to run as they were running paintball the same day, so figuring out the little things took a little trial and error, but it's all been streamlined for June 12th, so that's good. Game 1: "EOD" was something I created last night when we didn't get the heavy object we needed in time in order to actually run the "Payload" scenario game. For the most part it seemed as though everyone enjoyed that one so that's good, glad that nobody mishandled any of the IED Props out there, so thanks for that. Game 2 was the Counter Strike one, since we only have 30 minutes until we were required to switch sides we thought it best to at least give players another chance for trigger time over a longer lunch, so I do apologize that not both sides got to hold the hostages, but overall it seemed to go well also, given that it was sort of on the fly. Game 3 was Call of Duty's "Domination" which turned into "Chokepoint at the dirt road". For a while there it looked as though Tan was going to hold the two bases, but in the final five minutes before the first base tally would be scored green made a good push and flushed them out. I want to thank everyone on field for following through with the ceasefire while we got the dead tan out of the tower in the middle. Once green pushed at that point it was pretty much it. For anyone that cares Green team had 4 points, Tan had 2(Final tally). Game 4 was supposed to be Battlefield's "Rush" which would have extended from the base of tippman towers all the way up into, but apparently it was Highlands that I was thinking of when I originally had it in my head, so a miscommunication there led Tan to be in a less than advantageous spot for defense. That was my hiccup and I assure you will not occur in the future while we're out there. Game 5 was thought up on the fly, since game 5 was listed as player choice, so we made it into Capture The Flag. Somehow Tan allowed a green player to nonchalantly walk right into their base, grab their flag, and walk out without being questioned. I suppose you could consider the green guy doing shady work in appearing although he isn't playing/is killed, but not having a single guy even question him kind of forces the hand there, good job green. We had about <50 minutes left on station after the conclusion of that game, but not going back to the cars after every scenario eliminated most of the downtime, and for the most part in between games the mods were either preparing the field for the follow on game and the players were jamming mags, so it was good to see nobody was standing around for a while. We offered a pistol only game to anyone that was interested at the last bit there, but everyone seemed beat, so it was called at 5:20pm. Hope everyone had a good time, and feels like they got their money worth. I've updated the timeline for the Scenario game to reflect Hell Survivors times, since our previous contracts always ran until sundown, but I was informed today they close at 6 -- again, growing pains of working with a company that hasn't entertained airsofters in 5+ years. Thanks again everyone, enjoy the 94 pictures I took in the Photobucket link attached. They're pretty low resolution as I wanted to be able to upload quickly. Hope to see everyone out at our July and August events as well. Mosin s248.photobucket.com/user/Mosin17/library/RAGE%20Rec%20Event

Firstly, I want to say that I had an absolute blast today, Thank you team RAGE for putting this event on for all of us to enjoy. It was truly a pleasure meeting everyone.
I really have no complaints about the games, even though us tans took a pretty good beating a few times. With that notion I tip my hat to green. I noticed a ton of long range engagements which I enjoyed quite a bit.
My only regret for the event was not having a better set of goggles, shooting had blind was not the most enjoyable thing in the world.
RAGE, I am looking forward to your future events, you all were a blast to talk with, and again thank you.

Ps. I apologize for my grammar, typing this on my phone in the middle of nowhere.

I had an amazing time today. Thanks team RAGE for the great day. I had never been to this field before, and it blew me away! The structures and layout were great, and it just had an awesome feel to it. Add that to the fact that it's only ~25 minutes away, and you can bet I will be at more events here.
As for the actual gameplay, I can honestly say that this is the best time I've had airsofting. Apart from actually having a working AEG, I was more prepared for everything like the heat, the bugs, and the mud. Now I guess I'll roll with the common idea here and just take it game by game:
Game 1: probably the most organized game we did. The objectives and rules were clearly explained, except that there was confusion about full auto rules firing into the village from the perimeter. But other than that it went smoothly. I had a bit of good CQB action right in the village (CQB was the only 'good' action I could get due to my gun being at 260 FPS). It was also nice to have both the attacking and defending experiences.
Game 2: the hostage rescue one was a personal favorite of mine, mostly because once I got up to the castle wall I could troll around all of the windows with relative impunity. Tan had some good shots up top, but once we got in it was all over.
Game 3: this was a major letdown for me, not because of the game, but because my gun stripped it's piston about 15 minutes in. I had to go back to the parking lot so I can't really comment on it. It was cool playing on a bigger field in the woods though, nice change of scenery and play style (although my gun sucks hard at long range engagements).
Game 4: pretty sure I missed this one.
Game 5: I walked into this one not even knowing it was CTF. I ended up going up the right ridge and trying to prevent flanking, but tan didn't push very hard until one point where I lit up two guys who were advancing. Then of course I got pelted by the guy who I was watching the whole time before then (we were in kind of a stand off). Overall this one wasn't as good because it seemed like people had less energy and initiative, which is understandable. It was a pretty laid back game. The way we ended up winning was really snarfable though.
Overall, great day, and thank you team RAGE!

Mosin, besides being able to capture me and my fantastic pajamas on camera, how is it that three of the most clear ones with me in them happen to be when I am adjusting that bothersome kosynka?
Thank you for the pics, and thank you to whoever else caught shots of today. If anyone is bothered by me sharing pics anywhere, let me know. It is rare to capture me on camera, even in that getup.

Dear God my body hurts, and I'm completely covered in bug bites... Therefore, a good day of airsoft.
It was great meeting a lot of you (Guts, Combat Junkie & Phatty, Phenix, Mirage, Mosin, Troub, Relarz, and those who I could not remember), and have come to the conclusion that I need to figure out how the hell I'm going to get my M-Frames to not fog up every 5 minutes.
As for the game types, I liked Game 1 (EOD) the most. It was really fun to play in the city, and how that was really the deciding factor on who would win. Game 2 was different, but fun. I would have liked to defend, but as stated by others, it was to pass time before lunch. Game 3 was a hit and miss for me. I like how the first part went, where it was more of a battle until we took the bridge. After that, it was a stalemate fight until it ended. Game 4 and 5 I'm not going to review, because by then I was completely exhausted.
Overall, I had a lot of fun, and it was definitely worth the 2 hour drive to come. Thank you Team RAGE, and I'll see you guys at the MilSim in August.

Another great game like always. Wish we played longer. I will post my photos in a little bit. I love fighting in that city. We should talk about grenade kills. In the first game, a thunder B grenade landed next to me blowing up. No BBs. I poked my head out of the window asking if that counted as a kill, thrower said yes. I said ok and called it. At the end of the day, I dropped a thunder B grenade among some green people and they didn't call it. No admins were around to my knowledge.
Did anyone find a co2 pistol mag? Lost it at the start of the day and hopefully an honest person found it.

BB hoses, enough said.
Anyhow, it was an alright day. The RAGE staff really did seem to try their best, but it looks like the field owners didn't cooperate too well. Tan team being outnumbered sucked, we started late and finished early, and I wasn't too happy about 50 RPS guns with the all mighty hicaps. I look forward to the next game, I just hope it goes a little smoother. Edit: also, evanwormer and I found a (what I think is) 1911 mag for a GBB pistol. I believe it was green gas. PM him, he has it!

I had a great day, I fell it was very well hosted for a first time at a new field. I was very happy with the fluency of the first few games, and that the ref's were very decisive and quick about game changes and times. I agree with thefriendlyarab that there needs to be some support weapon regulation after that game, maybe polarstar's as well. After a while, BB Hoses became a very accurate description of the 4th? Game.
I am really looking forward to the next game, hopefully more well received by the owners of the field.

Look at the bottom of my first post in this thread, ya dangis.
The polarstars were definitely taken full advantage of this event by a few players, in the future we won't have to worry about this because all Team RAGE events will be semi auto only for weapons that are not designated squad automatic weapons. We've added a few must purchase items before the Scenario event launches, and included will be a few portable chronographs that will be carried on field as well, to keep honest men honest.
Looking forward to seeing you guys at the Scenario event.
