Well I'll start this off since I have some important stuff to say. The game: it went alright objectives were your standard run of the mill scenarios. As predicted tan team ruled the field within the first 30 minutes. I didn't have any issues with hit calling/over killing till the second half when I think tempers were boiling on the green team.
It was great to finally get to run with the RAGE guys, solid bunch of guys. Guns and SK it was a pleasure as always. A-team can't wait for No Limits!
Now onto the bad and important part. People of age and their guests were asked to camp offsite down the road on state land. The reason being we had alcohol and wanted to keep it from the minors staying on the property. Not a big deal at all. The part that rubbed me the wrong way was the group of 15-18 year olds including the event host come stumbling up the road trashed out of the wits looking for cigarettes and more alcohol. The whole purpose of us staying where we did was to prevent this. So I feel that a minor tackling a cooler, after being told to leave our campsite multiple times then falling onto a tent that a member of rage was staying in, then proceeding to stumble to the other side of the site, vomit, and pas out for a nights slumber. I'm not impressed with the way things were handled from event staff. It was requested that they be removed from our campsite long before this happened. And I don't appreciate my brauts being eaten, and alcohol being drank along with our water, energy drinks, and another members beverages. This is rude, inconsiderate, and makes me want to personally throat punch you till you no longer have the capability of speaking. I will not be back to an OCAA ran or sponsored event.

I'm not impressed with the way things were handled from event staff. It was requested that they be removed from our campsite long before this happened. And I don't appreciate my brauts being eaten, and alcohol being drank along with our water, energy drinks, and another members beverages. Again, I apologize for the conduct of some of our local players, I initially went down to the campsite just to hang out as I don't get a chance to meet many of the players from downstate that often. I asked for a braut, and I was told I could have one. I wasn't aware of that anyone else was stealing them, otherwise I would have said some. Initially it was supposed to be Me, Dustin and Aaron who were going to come hang out with you guys, as we are the more Mature ones. I apologize about Gavin falling over onto the tent, there was no excuse for that, he is just a dumbass. He was also to my knowledge the one stealing everyone's beer. Aaron, Dustin, (who were of age) and I supplied our own. I can handle my drink, he can't. As I said, this will be the last game I am hosting for awhile. Mostly due to the fact were going to be cutting all the oak trees on our property to help take care of my family's dept issues, and the fact hosting for free, and trying to keep everything up to par with standards one should expect at an Airsoft game, is a bitch. Now Onto the game. We prepared for this game more than our previous ones, I'm glad people had a good time playing at least. Tan Obviously won the day. The GameI enjoyed the game, Green was extremely under-powered. I had picked up leading green a few days before since every green leader who had rostered up had dropped. The count wound up being 26 Green vs 30+ Tan. Green made a hard push to the middle of the field early on, however that was the furthest we got. I initially saw the Tan team pushing up on me after we took the tower. within two minutes of being spotted I was out and returning to repsawn. Lack of radio communication seriously hindered my teams advance. We had about 11 in reserve only 100 ft behind the middle CP that I could have brought up but apparently they were on channel 3 while I was on 2. We had a chance but it was blown within the first 5 minutes. We got pushed back all the way to our spawn, not an Ideal situation but I enjoyed it. Executing plans with our numbers was difficult but we made progress on the North and South side of the field. The biggest push being on the south side, as my squad got behind enemy lines capturing two command points and getting into ma firefight with Team Rage. Unfortunately that was the high point of my day, we ran the second round after splitting teams, Rage switched to green, it was nice being able to play on the same side as him. We still got wrecked. Tan left their south side open again, so Rage pushed and got behind them, I was supposed to be with them but I was hit and got pinned down in the HQ area after I respawned, Copper, Cardinal and I pushed the north side and made limited progress. I had to take off during the Night Portion due to issues with my Fiance that came up, I apologize about that but It was an issue that needed immediate attention. After that, I came back stressed and just looking to hang out with the Tan team and unwind. The said events of that night happened, I hope I wasn't that big of an inconvenience. The PlayersWe saw a lot of new and old faces, so that is always a good thing. I got a chance to meet players like Pagan, Yankee, Rust, Mosin, Marshy, Guns mc Ben, Kneif and many others. I kind of made a big deal about Kneif as I fanboy over the Hellfish, and just the admins in general, they have a tough job and I respect them for it. I hope I made a good impression on what kind of person I am off the field, I'm pretty relaxed and easy going. Pagan and Gimp were a big help in Chrono, special thanks goes out to them. ConclusionI'm am sincerely sorry that the event of the night unfolded the way they did. If It was that big of an issue I would have appreciated someone to pull me aside and mention it to me without having to deal with constant interruption of the crowd that was there, I would have made sure Gavin was taken care of. I hope everyone enjoyed them selves regardless of unfortunate string of events that unfolded. I'm not hosting another game for awhile, I try to increase the quality of the field and game every OP but every game we seem to get more and more complaints. Not necessarily a bad thing, constructive criticism is good but over the years I just have lost my taste for hosting. My team has been wanting to travel more for games anyways, however Gavin won't be attending, with good reason.

This past weekend was a great chance to catch up with friends from all around Michigan and meet new ones, which was pretty much the reason 90% of tan team was there in the first place.
When this event was originally created it was the only free game for the season, which gives most airsofters the tipping point incentive to pay the extra $20 in gas to not have to pay the $20 at the door. I'd like to thank Ogre for creating the opportunity to have this game on a weekend that would have just been whatever else our regular lives consist of had it not been made, so thanks for that.
Some stuff I do have issue with, as Coldwave nailed most of it, is flat out theft. Underage kids drinking beer, check. I did that shit when I was 15-16 at Bangor and anyone else that has been playing for longer than a decade and camped out and says they didn't as a minor I can almost assure you is a liar. What I don't get is (as Coldwave mentioned) you wanted to move us all away from your house in order to prevent this from becoming an actual thing. I don't know if it was just to appease your parents, but when I have kids that maybe look 14 years old walking over to our fire, not even asking who we are or trying to chat with us, but just asking for our beer and liquor -- is unacceptable.
As an event host knowing full well you had a part two scheduled for Sunday, getting trashed and allowing your staff to do the same basically shoots your credibility of ever hosting again (Especially with a price tag) right in the foot. There should always be an amount of professionalism, and I'm not saying you can't kick back and enjoy a beer after a hard day of hosting, but half of your "staff" were blackout drunk. To the guy that fell onto mine and my brother's tent at the field, whom I proceeded to pick up and throw off immediately, you should be more than understanding that you're not welcome at any event I host. I don't trust anyone that can't handle themselves in front of liquor, so I don't trust you with anything that can fire a projectile to operate safely on field. I also just found out that our cooler had also been broken into, and a half full bottle of Captain Morgan (Retail about $20) and a half full bottle of Crown Royal (Retail $40) was stolen from our supplies, which was the equivalent of about $30 being directly stolen from us. Could have been a loose wallet on the ground with an equal amount of cash, and it would have been the same thing. You want to make things right on that end? Send a PayPal gift payment to Coldwave and Marshy and everyone else that had beer and liquor stolen from them from money collected from your staff that you know did it, not you paying out of pocket because it wasn't your fault, and that's a start.
Onto the game itself:
- The first day we played a total of 4.5 hours of airsoft, based off of your time schedule we started check in, chrono, and all the administrative dealings at 10, with a game start at 1pm. More than enough time to cycle all 100+ predicted players, with the actual turnout of somewhere closer to 70, this should have been accomplished in half the time. As a leader and host of the event, you should have delegated responsibilities to your event staff so rather than standing around and bullshitting with the players like they were, they could be ensuring players were going through all the needed pit stops before we could get the game off the ground. In short, you had 11+ hours planned for day one of airsoft, we accomplished about 40% of that, which should be more than enough to show you the amount of downtime there. Don't get so hung up on specifics, numbers, or timelines. If we have the players there to start the game early, start the game early. In the airsoft community it's always better to undercut your times rather than overshoot, so if you're planning on starting at 1 in the future, post start time at 12:00 or 12:30, or better yet, just start the game with those who are ready and have those who aren't miss out.
- Once on field there were no refs on Channel 1 monitoring. Multiple times I attempted to switch over to administratively tell you that we're base raping you and I want to pull back my guys for the sake of Green Team having something better than a shitty time, this message was never relayed.
- Actual walk around moderation was scarce. It looked like you had about four or five guys on field at first, and then most of them went back up to the house and hung out. While we were capturing all these objective for the mission, I was trying to turn them in for whatever make believe "points" came with it, that didn't happen.
- Don't cater to any one specific person. During the downtime/dinner break between game #1 and #2, we had mentioned to move Civilian over to Green to help even things up. One kid in Whiplash's team refused as he didn't want to be on the "losing team" and you almost catered to that. In this case (especially a free game) you can put it bluntly with him. You don't switch to blue team, you don't play. Solved.
- Locking a roster two months in advance is almost cruise control for a large washout. If you want to keep games free but want to guarantee attendance you can always ask players to PayPal you $5.00, and at the field when they register and check in they can receive that money back. Just another way to weed out those teams that are "Oh I'll be there + 20 of my buddies" and then forgets about it because that post was made three months ago.
I tip my hat to any teenager that can corral a game of as many players as yourself, and I hope this is viewed as constructive criticism and not a bash towards the team, but to put it realistically I probably wouldn't expect 60-75% of the first timers to return, as first impressions are everything and this one wasn't the best.
Wolf, it was a pleasure meeting you and your Son. I hope to hit many more airsoft games with you two in the future. Gimp, Pagan, all of SK, MiA-Team, Fishies, and Immortal, it was great to see you guys again (and meet some of you for the first time). I hope to see as many of you out at Canto's game on the 14th when I CO for the Tan team there as well. For those of you who missed out Knief brought his PTW on Sunday and we all got to touch it, much wow, such professional, many bb. I'm still not sure why I accepted to do an all vs. me Sniper game a few hours ago, but I don't have any regrets.
EDIT: To the photographer that was out there staying with it all day snapping photos, kudos to you dude. I look forward to seeing those.

Well time for a review I suppose.
The Pro's: Relatively close by, free, plenty of people to shoot at.
The Con's: I don't know how this hasn't been brought up yet but y'all were seriously behind with the schedule. I always expect things to run a little behind but wow. As Mosin already stated there was a big problem with mods.
Overall it was a typical event for Ogre, Still fun but heavily geared to brand new players. By the way I would like to give kudos over eye protection. You guys have had a major problem with this in the past but you have seemed to work out the issue for this event.

PM's sent to all parties involved with stealing the liquor, the situation is being handled to the best of my abilities, disciplinary action is pending on parties that were at fault. Sorry for the events during the night, me and several of our found members are making sure we are setting this right.
