I recently got a GBB pistol, and it doesn't work well, at all. Yes, it's a WE . I need those of you who know gas pistol tech to help me out here (already tried googling it by the way...). Anyways, here's the symptoms: Gun fires but no BBs feed Gun fires and a BB will roll out of the barrel (no velocity at all) Gun fires and two BBs come out at low velocity The first few shots have major amounts of green gas spraying out of the ejection port Major amounts of gas spraying out everywhere in general Every once and a while a "normal" shot will occur After a few (~10) shots, slide locks halfway back and magazine vents all remaining gas (a considerable amount) Can't finish a mag without the above happening In summary, there are major feeding issues, some obvious gas leak problems, and along with that a gas efficiency problem. This is all happening with a basically brand new mag, no leaks. I have another mag that leaks horribly, but I think what I learned in my other pistol thread should help me enough.

What model is it? And is the gun itself probably lubed?

I had similar issues with my KWA 1911, for me the hop up bucking had just gone bad. I threw in a new one and it worked like new. It's a cheap fix and it might be worth trying.

It's a hi capa 5.1. It's definitely lubed, my hand is covered in silicon oil and other gunk just from shooting it.
I think the bucking may be a key issue, or some hop up part because when I took of the slide and looked at it the hop up was all the way off. When I turned that to halfway some of the feeding problems were reduced, but after a few shots, the hop up was all the way off again.

Ok, yeah now I'd check to see if you are missing any pins. Some can be really small so look carefully. Your bucking should not be able to move, so the fact it is coming off is very unusual. More than likely you lost a small pin that keeps the hop ups housing together causing the barrel and bucking to slide around, falling off. That could get the slide stuck and vent the gas, but defiantly affect feeding. Sounds like this might be your problem. Hope it helps.

No, the bucking isn't coming off (I hope) but there's a dial to adjust the hop up. When it's turned off the bucking doesn't hold in BB's; when it's on it shoots somewhat better.

If your gun is covered in oil you have entirely too much lubrication on it. Your bucking sounds like it has absorbed that oil and has swollen. The other issue with the venting could be a cracked air nozzle.

Yeah, I've heard about the cracked air nozzle problem. If someone could describe to me how to diagnose that I would be very appreciative.
I didn't lube the gun, it came like that. But somehow I don't think that's the issue. It is a possibility though, so I won't rule it out.

It won't always be as obvious as this, but this is the nozzle from a KSC P226 that I picked up recently. Hairline fractures are common with the nozzles and will allow enough flex for the vent to happen.

Yup. It's cracked alright. Long hairline fracture down the right side, where gas spews out. In guessing I'll have to replace this part.

Ok, bump from the dead. I got the new nozzle and installed it fine, and there was a big improvement. Now, it shoots fine. However, there's still feeding issues. I have to rack the slide back every shot to feed another bb in, otherwise it dry fires most of the time. Any tips?

A potentially worn Magazine catch. If the magazine doesn't sit high enough, the nozzle won't chamber a round. The slower mechanics of a rack is enough to load. That and the gun isn't shaking the magazine out of place.

Man I would have just took advantage of a warranty policy or something I had similar problems where the feeding would not work very much and it turned out the spring in my mag was worn out. I don't think that is what is wrong with yours but it might be worth checking out. I am thinking about buying the hi capa 4.3 version... I hope I do not have these problems hehe
