I notice on Google Maps it says it's a pet care place, which it is, the man who owns the land runs a dog training school or something, but that's the real location that I provided and there IS an airsoft field there.

The new field is a work in progress so please bare with us if it's not up to par yet. This first game (and all games for that matter) we will encourage you all to provide as much positive and negative feedback as possible so we can adjust accordingly and make the field great! We are aiming to keep it as woodland based as possible. He plans on putting up a few structures but mostly this field will be all forest-warfare.



This field is wet. This field is dirty. This field will make you move a lot. So be prepared for all these things. There are also tons of bugs so be sure you bring plenty of bug spray!


Please show up guys and gals. This field is worth it, I guarantee you'll enjoy yourself.


According to Greg there's been some new improvements to this year's field, so be ready for a new adventure!

INDOOR/CLOSE QUARTER BATTLE (CQB)/ENCLOSED FIELD ENGAGEMENT LIMITS
• 1.0 - 340.9 fps – Arms length engagement limit


• 341.0+ fps – prohibited or allowed with permission of event organizer only

Engagement limits are based on averaged fps readings using .20 gram weight bb’s only. The method for acquiring an airsoft replica’s average fps is to fire multiple (more than 2) shots through a chronograph, record the readings, add the fps readings together and divide by the total number of readings.
Gas operated airsoft replicas should be chronographed using a “warm” ambient temperature gas supply (i.e. magazine), or with heating device functioning if used during the cold season.
No allowance is made for airsoft replicas that have an average reading close to the lower end of the next highest fps category. Example- if the replica has an average reading of 351.5 fps it falls within the 20 foot engagement limit.

Again, these rules include a 10fps "tolerance zone". Players will be allowed onto the field if their weapons shoot up to 10.0 fps over the published limit.

Article 3: Eye protection must be worn at all times, except in designated “safe” staging or preparation areas. Event organizers will inform the participants of such designated areas prior to the start of the event. It is recommended that players wear their eye protection at all times. Safety is the first priority.

• Eye protection must be of the completely sealed type (there must be contact with the eyewear frame and face, fully surrounding the eyes). Lenses must meet the minimum rating of ANSI Z87.1, MIL-V-43511C, or ASTM F 1776-01.*Edited-02/18/04, Frostee Eye protection must not be able to be brushed off, knocked off, or moved easily. It is strongly suggested that all eye protection be secured with a strong elastic strap/band (the type intended for such uses). A full mask that covers the entire face is optional, but the lenses must meet the aforementioned ANSI or ASTM specification and the area around the eyes must be sealed to the frame.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. After reading some past threads about this field, it seems to be very new and not quite developed, can we expect some build days?

The field may be newer but it is rather developed. It is not just like playing in the woods. It actually has a fair bit of cover and structures. The field is not open like no limits is. There is plenty of cover with small hills and vegitation to allow great movement and flanking.

Matrix is actually my favorite field to play at and most people that have played there say the same thing.

I will be there with plus 2 maybe plus 4. I am so pumped that matrix is open again.

Oh hey you, . Miss you!

Dude come play here. You won't regret it. Remember the sneaky stuff we used to do together at No Limits? Well amplify that by like 30. It's amazing here. You'll enjoy it I promise. It's not AS developed as it could be because it's new, but it's got quite a bit of stuff in store. Also I haven't been out there yet, but Greg has said he's added quite a bit since everyone has last played there, so he's been working his tail off to get this field going. Don't miss it dude. As far as build days, nothing really works out too well, he's always busy and everything clashes timing wise. We can talk to him about it on gameday to see if we can work something out though. But this field was so fun last season and I can't wait to see what he's added.

Its been a while!

Ill be overseas by the time this event happens, wont be back for some time. After July 10 is pretty solid with some odd weekends thereafter. Plus I want to give myself time to buy some upgrades .

When you say "This field is wet", how wet are we talking here? Should I shelve my desert boots and wear my Goretex boots for this? They're quite heavy so I prefer to use my desert boots...

It is not wet unless you want to get wet. Just like no limits there is water around the islands but you do not ever have to get wet. I have played here about 10 times and only got wet once and that was by choice to flank someone ( it was also really hot that day) While there is water that surrounds the islands there are small bridges that link them keeping you nice and dry.

EDIT: Take a look at last years after action report to see the extent of the water. If you look at the 13th pic down you will see that there is a narrow area of water ( about 10 feet wide) that is really about it for water. miairsoft.proboards.com/thread/48342/matrix-airsoft-9-28-13

Also you will not get muddy unless you want to get muddy, just like the water.

Basically what Kjones said, it's all choice, but there's a chance since you'll be at a new field that you'll run into the mud or water by chance and accidentally step into something. It's not too bad, just expect there to be some mud and some water as some areas of the creeks that run through are buried underneath tons of brush, but you can totally stay away from that by sticking to paths that are carved out that for sure won't get you messed up. There ARE bridges to get you over the creeks at designated spots that the owner has built for us all. In summary, it's all about your style of play, you can choose to stick to the paths you'll be fine but if you stray from them you'll eventually get dirty and wet.




*Also Kjones, there's a mini pond like area off to the side of one of the bridges, I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about but that's more than 10ft wide although it is only about knee deep water, if that. I'd say that "pond" is about 30-40ft wide, but not deep at all.
