For anyone who has done this, how much does it smell (When wearing it), and does it ever end up clogging up ventilation? Plus, anything else I should know besides the usual stuff about painting.

I spray painted my Flakjaks green once. It didn't smell bad after a bit. However, the paint didn't stick very well so it got sanded off later.

Use some krylon and you'll be good.

It flakes off very easily. I wouldn't waste your time with it.
To answer your question, yes you can smell the spray paint on it usually, but its nothing unbearable.
