I'm all about being light-weight, low profile, and speed: Vaulting things, diving, and all-out sprinting. Kind of hard to do when you're wearing a vest and holding a bullpup rifle. Indoors I play with a handgun and an extra mag in my pocket. I wear my M-Frame 2.0's, a black Polo ,thin slimish-fitting tan cargo pants, and a baseball cap. I need something High speed, low drag. Something to run outside. I need a lightweight gun, compact, but not unwieldy: I need a gun that when I need a free hand I can let down my off hand and jump, vault, whatever.. I also need a way to do it all without a vest keeping me agile. Possibly keep everything on my belt? I looked into friction mag holders , but they seem to be only available for M4 style mags (and I think handgun mags?) limiting my choices for rifles. Airsoft isn't my primary hobby, so if I buy a gun, most likely the only upgrades that will go into it is a tight bore barrel, and I wish not to spend a large sum of money on it. Any reccomendations for equipment or rifles that fit these demands? Thanks for reading.

Yeah. A chest rig... Look into tactical tailor or skd tac.

A battle belt isn't a very expensive start, and any pouches you buy for it should be able to go onto any other MOLLE things. Primary weapon wise, I'd go with an MP5k (Galaxy or TM, doesn't matter as much considering it's indoor), or a KWA M11. Infinite style points if you get a TM Xtreme 45 though.

I have a Galaxy MP5k. It's a nice little gun, very lightweight and maneuverable. You can one hand that thing no problem, and it can be a real bullet hose with the right battery. The mags are kinda long though; they fit in a drop leg pouch for me, but's it's far from a high speed setup. There are PDW (short) mags out there, so overall I'd say it's a good cheap CQB loadout.
However, it's awful for outdoors. The range and accuracy just aren't there, and if you rely on full-auto mag dumps to get kills, well, you're gonna run out of ammo real quick. Trust me, I tried it on a small scale and I got destroyed by my friend's custom G&P Sentry.
Which is why I'd recommend either a stubby M4 or a full sized MP5 with a collapsible stock. That should theoretically give you good range in a small package, and if you don't get a full metal one it should be light and fairly cheap. Of course, anybody will tell you that you can have great range with a short barrel, but that's with upgrades.

My suggestion is a P90 or AUG for outdoors. You mentioned a bullpup being unwieldy in your first post, but that's going to be your best bet for field games. Its the best way to get a longish barrel in compact rifle. Any other design with the same length barrel will be longer. Personally I wouldn't run an MP5K outside of CQB. Its only a small step up from a pistol. After all, it is a "machine pistol". The barrel is too short in my opinion. The P90 barrel is about 2.5x longer than the MP5K. I ran a TM P90 (@350 FPS) for several years at SFOD and it performed as well or better than most everyone else's longer M4s/M16s and AKs.
You talked out needing an open hand for running around and the P90 in my opinion fits that role perfectly. An M4 will kill your wrist after doing that all day. MP5 would work because its small. AUG would probably be OK but its going to be heavier than the P90.

I agree with X on the P90. Find yourself a Tokyo Marui and never look back. Also, never sell it like I did to mine.

Definently go with a battlebelt extremely lightweight and for a weapon I'd go for a mp7,mp9, or a p90

I actually have the whole battle belt and pouches. It just moves all of the bulk off your chest and to your waist. As for the gun, the galaxy I have tried as well. It feels too much like a heavy handgun vs. A rife. A folding stock may be an option. Not sure. As for the chest rig. I end up laying on my stomach on my mags. I actually mounted my handgun on my back because having on my leg would snag too much. The Mp9 wasn't something I had even considered before. I will look into it's prices. Any reccomendations for guns that accept M4 style mags?

There are plenty of lightweight platforms to choose from like the UMP .45 , P90, Scorpion EVO (I don't think this one is out quite yet), ect. If you want one thats stang compatible I would suggest the Magpul PDR-C. its got a bulup design so its small but still has a decent sized inner barrel. you can use an M4 mags in it including its Magpul short PMAGS that look great in it. My second suggestion would be to do what X says and find a TM P90 and rock that thing till its dead.

Get a PDW the VFC one is pretty good, and the Dboys is surprisingly well built.

www.optactical.com/higrgechrig.htmlwww.optactical.com/blfogemoramo.htmlCan't get much lighter than these. Stack the thicker stuff (double stacked rifle mags) to your sides and thinner stuff (pistol mags) in the center of your chest. Even lying flat on it shouldn't really be a problem. Really, as long as you're adjusting and tightening your rig properly, it won't waggle around on you. Even modern plate carriers pretty much lock themselves in place and keep the weight very secure in place. Obviously you can and should run your kit however you want to, but I'm not sure that the bulk of a low profile chest rig or plate carrier is as big of a deal as you're making it out to be.

If you like those, I'd also look at the Blue Force Gear Ten Speed series. They use integrated elastic pouches, so you lose the thickness of MOLLE gear, and the pouches lie flat when empty.

I dont know why I didn't mention this... I own one of these and it's really lightweight. It literally fits in my TT dump pouch when empty.

I'm 5'10.5" ~143lbs. The primary issue with gear for me is the fit. That main reason I want to get rid of the vest entirely is I'm not a big guy. I've got broad shoulders and a small (28) waist size. Battle belts are built for full sized men, the size military men are. I'm not exactly buff either. Just as I like my suits slim fitting, I like my gear the same. Hard enough finding BDU's for a decent price in my size since everything from GI Surpluses are made just the same. The ATS Warbelt is not even offered in a small. They start at Medium. But finding actual belts for me shouldn't be such a problem. And like those who rides bikes for BMX, or Competitive Cycling such as myself, ounses count. But allocating most things to my side, would be my most desired result. I think I may have found something: www.blueforcegear.com/ten-speed-m4-6-pack-bandolier.htmlThanks for showing me this stuff Zorak. And I'm greatly considering that PDW, coldwave.
