I'm very curious to know who this experienced player was, I was out there and as soon as that was brought to attention everyone was taken back to chrono but no one was found to be firing very hot from what I understood, I suspect it was just an average fps weapon at point blank. Some people were allowed to pass through chrono because they worked at Futureball/were friends with Chris who runs the field. The player was one of those people. One of the refs that day sided with the player, saying that it was all about BB weight and that the player did nothing wrong (which makes no sense?), and the field manager (Chris) said that it couldn't have been that player, because that player's gun was just worked on by Chris a week ago. But how do you mistake who the person was when they're a foot away from you? And the thing is, this wasn't a one-time incident. You can see that the kid has marks on both sides of his body, left and right, as well as from the front. There were at least two occasions where the same player dumped full-auto fire into him at less than five feet. Futureball doesn't really seem to enforce engagement limits, but it was stated that day that bang-kills were necessary up close (obviously, this was not followed). EDIT: It is entirely possible that it was an average-FPS weapon at point blank. That's not really the main issue. Either way, that player messed up more than once by shooting that close. And then the refs./field manager messed up by doing nothing about it and even siding with/denying culpability of the guy who broke the rules!

When they chrono, do they put .20g bbs into your mags? Do they ask about bb weight at all?

I'd like to share any information I know, but that's a bit difficult with his name being hidden for some reason. When they chrono, do they put .20g bbs into your mags? Do they ask about bb weight at all? Unfortunately they do not put .2s in your mags, the refs understand the whole "Lower FPS on a heavier bb is not less force" deal but when I chrono I have to tell them I have .28s, they just assume I'm using .2s that said they do have a chrono where you can select your bb weight and I have not stayed to see if they ask other player's their bb weights. Perhaps the player who was shot knows.

They have asked other people about BB weight before, but I know that I've been passed with 0.25-gram BBs because Chris trusts me. At MiA events, I have a 20-foot engagement limit. At Futureball, I have no engagement limit, but I still try to follow MiA guidelines and pull out my sidearm within twenty feet.
As for withholding the person's name: Well, I don't want to publicly accuse someone of something if I can't prove they did it. I'm not even a witness. I'm going off of what I was told by a fourteen-year-old, and the pictures he sent me. If you need to know the guy's name, P.M. me.

The safety procedures at this place are just pitiful.

I would like to start a petition to either boycott, or ban any events at Futureball from being posted in the Event section.

There's already a boycott, it's been in effect since approximately 2007. It's why no-one talks about Futureball.

There's already a boycott, it's been in effect since approximately 2007. It's why no-one talks about Futureball. I didn't know that. Interesting Anyways, the kid who got shot up and the guy who shot him up met in public (totally coincidental) and reconciled right then and there. Guy admitted that he made a mistake and apologized. Not that it really makes a difference at this point, but at least that issue is taken care of. Safety procedure at Futureball is still a major concern. I'm curious as to whether or not Futureball is checking pistols to ensure that no one is carrying BB guns. I guess I'll find out if security has been renovated; the team and I are going there on Saturday. If I notice anything, I'll post it somewhere. As for the boycott: It won't put Futureball out of business or stop them from running airsoft. About 90% of their airsoft player base is unaware of MiA's existence. They're mostly kids. Which is the worrying part. Futureball isn't teaching the proper safety procedures and rules more common to the rest of the airsoft world, while also letting experienced players wreck the kids. If you want to stop anything bad from happening at Futureball (as in, something that could ruin airsoft for the rest of the community), you have to somehow reform it. At least, that's my opinion. I see that as the only way this works. With that said, my team plans to play far more at other fields.

They are checking pistols, last week and the week before they had everyone pull out their sidearms and remove a magazine to make sure there were 6mm in them.

Sad to say chrono did not occur until after it was suspected to be an issue.

Sad to say chrono did not occur until after it was suspected to be an issue. I've been telling Chris he needs to chrono at the start of the day, but he just doesn't listen. He's more concerned about limiting the RoF of HPA guns (P*s) than the FPS for everything else.
