I searched and couldn't find a thread for this, how many guys make replica SAPI Plates to put in their PC? I want to but need a good, reliable way to do it, any suggestions?

I just bought mine from evike. They're hollow plastic.

I see people fill them with plaster of paris, or the spray foam used for insulatingb joints. It makes them alittle more rigid and durable.

I literally just filled the plate compartment with a lot of old magazines, I've got 20lbs of old magazines that are my "plates"...

I cut up a cheap camp sleeping pad from Meijer. They sell them in the camping supplies section for like $10.

Yep, I did the same thing as Gimp. Works pretty decent, though you want to probably at least double up the thickness. Then wrap with black duct tape and you're good to go.

I have used the cheap corrugated plastic used in things like yard signs. It's stiff enough to hold it's shape in the PC but light enough that you don't even feel the weight, yet flexible enough to mold to the shape of your body. Plus it helps when you have a vinyl sign cutter so you can letter it.

My Emerson JPC Came with dummy sapi plates. They're light and keep the jcp shape well. I believe they are the medium size ones evike sells. They seem worth it if you have the cash

I made a pair for my JPC with 3 layers of cardboard and held together with duct tape, kinda thinking I should have added one more just to help fill out the shape a bit. But they have been just fine so far.
