Operation Irene looks like a ton of fun, and I really want to attend it. However I have never attended a Milsim or Lion Claws event. I've done some research and haven't found much info on how to attend a Lion Claws event. I have the appropriate gear and AEG, but how would I go about getting in on Op Irene 2014? What are the basic requirements? Do I have to register? Feel free to educate me, thanks.

STEP 1: Be 18 STEP 2: Go here, read. Also, nothing about IRENE has been posted yet, they have other ops to run first. EDIT* Edited for simplicity.

It is also more expensive, this was take from the 2013 registration.

What is an Alumni? Does OLCMSS have a page where a person can fill out a form to attend?

Alumni means you have attended a Lions Claw event before. A common misconception for Irene is that you have to to a veteran of a lions claw game to get in, which for the most part is false. Registration hasn't opened yet, so I would check back in the summer.

When's the best time to register so I can in before there's too many people for the max player capacity?

If you're registering as an individual, the registration period opens at a set time and everyone who wants to attend registers until all of the player slots are filled. Some events fill up slowly, while others, like Irene, can fill up in hours. The dates for registration are typically listed on the OLCMSS website. See the Operation Irene page for updates on when the registration period will open.

The day that registration opens. All your questions can be answered on their website. Can't find it? Google it.
