Presents A rec game at Action Paintball (Formerly known as No Limits Park) in Taylor on Saturday, May 10th. Field pictures: www.actionpb.com/Fields.htmlMay is going to be a very busy month for airsoft, so we're hosting this one early in the month so players can attend as many events as possible. This is for two reasons: Ensures we have dates reserved for the field. Making sure our events don't over lap with other state and national events, so more people can have an opportunity to attend as many events as possible. Time: 12:00-8:00 Gates will open at 12:00pm. Cost: $20.00 FPS: MIA standards. We are going to be enforcing a 1.55j energy limit on all polarstars and a top FPS of 540 for semi only firing replicas. Eye Protection: Full seal goggles are required. NO GOGGLES, NO SHOOTING, NO EXCEPTIONS. Mesh goggles are NOT allowed. You must sign a waiver. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must sign the waiver as well. Waivers will be provided. Here is a direct link to their waiver, so you can print it out ahead of time. www.actionpb.com/waiver.htmlBriefing/ Check in/ Chrono : 12:20 PM Trigger Time starting at: 1:00 PM. Please note, if you haven't chronoed by 1:00, you will have to wait until after the first game is started. We're done waiting for people. Break for Lunch: Whenever people feel up for it. Ending: 8:00 PM There will be no ammo restrictions or player caps as it is a rec game. Action Paintball (No limits) Rules: Barrel condoms are required in the safe zone. These are available at most sporting goods stores or you can make your own as long as it works. Magazines out and safeties on in the safe zone. Anyone between 12-14 years old must come with an adult. Full face masks, balaclavas, lower half mesh face protection or something along those lines are required at no limits for everyone attending due to their new insurance. They are pretty laid back about this but just make an effort especially in the safe zone. Players 14 and under must wear full face protection/paintball masks at all times. Things to remember: Bring bug spray. Bring a barrel condom. Bring extra socks (even if it isn't raining). Location: Taylor, MI Eureka Rd and Lange St. (just North of Eureka on Lange) For directions click here: www.actionpb.com/Hours_Location.htmlTents and Canopies are welcome to be set up in the staging area. Action Paintball is now going to be stocking airsoft gear, so BBs, green gas and other small items will be made available at the field. There will be a generator available, so charging stations can be set up. No Limits will be offering $1 slices of pizza at lunch time. The field owners will be asking if people want pizza when you sign in. You won't have to pay right then, it's just to get a head count so they can order enough. I'm in. Possibly +2-3, I'll have to check with my buddies and see what their schedule is.
Also, I gather it's only for P*, but how does the joule rating work? Is that current fps standards, plus an energy limit?

Is that current fps standards, plus an energy limit? Joule rating is the actual energy produced at a speed. Quite a few event hosts are starting to use joules instead of fps . Here's a great link with joule ratings and the corresponding fps. www.airsoftmaster.com/fps-chart-for-airsoft-guns/

Measuring it this way arrives at the same conclusion, as far as the fps limit (since the energy works out the same), but can allow you to chrono with any weight BB?

We continue to use .20s just so we don't have to change the settings on the chrono for every player. Some systems need to be checked using joules, as the different in fps between the two can be minimal, but the energy produced is a huge difference.

Night game, night game, night game. Or at least a half n' half dusk game like last time. That was fun.

Are there any specific rules for night games, other than the required flashlight in the MIA rules? (I know this isn't a night game, just trying to plan purchases ahead)

We use glow sticks for dead rags, so players can actually see when someone is out to try and reduce overkill. We're hoping to do two night games this year, one as a rec game and one as a scenario. It will be later summer/fall, but no date is set quite yet.

Put my name on there. No such thing as 'too many events'!
