Anyone have first hand experience doing it?
I've read online where people suggested Goop, Dot3 Brake Fluid, Citristrip, Acetone, Etc; but I'm hesitant to use any of those without actually reading a first hand account(s) of they're effects.

Never had this problem. I'd want to suggest masking it with more paint in the color you want.

Not an option in this case; it's to resell and in my experience people generally aren't fond of buying gear that looks like a unicorn took a dump on it.
I got some acetone, krylon paint, and cordura fabric scraps I may run through a test with tomorrow; but I'm fairly certain acetone will damage the fabric.

Yeah I would try taking some mineral spirits to it. Again I've never used it for fabrics. I don't think it would hurt it, but I've only done this with rifles.

From using citrus strip in the past on wood, I'm pretty confident that it would ruin fabric unless you used it very carefully.

If it is IR coated or anything like that, whatever you use to remove the paint will probably destroy the coating.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I'm thinking of just holding-off doing anything to any gear untill I actually have the ability to do some tests. If I do get around to it I'll be sure to post the results.

I have removed camo paint from Krylon with action and it didn't harm any thing BUT it does lighten the corners of the receiver AND you will have a bight of a time getting it out of the small lines and any thing counter sunk in the body.

Tactical gear (IE vests, pouches, ect.), not gun parts like receivers.
