Dude I have a helmet like that lying around I would have given you, sorry it didn't occur to me, let me find it and its yours. It's white instead of yellow not that it matters.

Thanks, but I don't need one as I already have a helmet for the project.

Updates on the helmet: Filled in all the unnecessary holes with epoxy putty, and removed the remaining neck padding inside. Then came sanding, priming, truck bed liner for texture, OD green paint, and two layers of clear coat for protection. I really love the look of it! Also got some correct magazines for the 74U, midcaps of course. And an RPK magazine for extra kebab removal!

Oh man that is almost the EXACT AK build I want! I'm super jealous!

Cyma ak's will last forever. At least mine did before I traded it to you a few years back. Looks like your projects are coming along nicely I can't wait to see the final project.

I feel like you should use one of those textured paints and then respray it OD to make it look like the reference photo.

I feel like you should use one of those textured paints and then respray it OD to make it look like the reference photo. That's what I wanted to go for, so I got the truck bed liner thinking it would be a larger texture like that but it turns out it's more black black spray paint with sand in it. Still gives it a better texture than the flat paint would, but it's not the same look. And thanks everyone!

I've used several different truck bed liner spray paints and some are WAY more textured than others. If only I could find the "good" can to tell you what one to look for haha.

What a joy I had when I saw my IRT MOLLE Defender II had arrived from Belgium. With this and my Multicam, I can effectively imitate a modern FSB/MVD kit, and I plan to do so. Kebab removal level up to approximately 50-75%. Though only pictured are 3 AK magazine pouches, it also came with 3 more Fort mag pouches, a Fort roll-up dump pouch, and a Fort GP pouch. Might get a little hot in the summer, but I've got a Telnyashka coming to help keep cool
