I've rarely had so much fun in such a shitty environment. That is about the easiest way to sum up today. I still love the medic system. I only heard two people yelling "call your hits", which quite frankly is amazing at any airsoft event. Viper, you were an excellent CO. You made the though calls, and we tried our best to deliver. Crapshoot and AKS, you took a lot of shit from Deathdealer and kept on charging, huge respect. Deathdealer you did a great job as SL. Tan, it was a pleasure shooting at you. Role players, you were funny as always. RAGE, you reacted quickly to some environmentally induced hiccups. I really have nothing bad to say, other than DIE WINTER, DIE!!!

First time RAGE MILSIM attendee here. Even know there was extremely deep snow throughout the playing field, I had a GREAT time. My squad was serious when they needed to be, but still had a sense of humor when we weren't in any engagements. DeathDealer, you were a great squad leader, and I appreciate your friendliness despite my lack of knowledge of the AO. X, Tank, and Crapshoot were all great squad mates.
Since this was the first time playing at Hell Survivors, I can say that I loved the field. I thought the hills made room for more tactics. I also loved all the cover they had set up. From your simple wood board to bunkers and buildings, it was all great.
My only major compliant I have has to do with players who are "dead". Please, when you are hit and waiting to bleed out or be healed, sit down. At one instance, I could not identify who was dead or not. Four or five dead players were standing up around a live player, which I couldn't tell at the moment. When I started shooting at another target, I was lit up by the player I thought was dead. Had those four or five dead guys been sitting down, I most likely would have had the drop on the live player.
The Good: - Great AO - Medic/Respawn system - Hit Calling - Hilarious Role Players - Friendly Squad
The Bad: - Snow
Thanks to Mosin, Mirage, and the rest of RAGE for putting on a fantastic show! I look forward to future RAGE events!

I attended as a roleplayer, so I can't comment on the objectives and missions that were carried out, but I had an enjoyable time.
I want to apologize for losing my cool near the long bridge that leads over to castle. After having eliminated all the players on the near end of the bridge, a few tan players and tan/roleplayers approached to clear the area. A few "dead" green players were standing around. As we got within 30 feet, one of them basically said "this is our spawn and we're re-spawning" and hosed the group of us with full-auto fire. I let loose with some choice words and loudly (and probably irrationally) yelled at the offending player about having some common courtesy and common sense.
I probably could have done this in a more tactful, less aggressive way.
In the future, it's important to understand the rules regarding spawn locations. It's also important that if you're hit you move out of the way a bit so that A) you're not being used as cover by a teammate and B ) not being hit repeatedly. That said, if you're alive and attacking you should be trying not to hit players who are very obviously not in play.
Other than that, it was a good day of play. Hopefully in the future with less snow things will go a bit more smoothly.

I had an awesome time playing with everyone yesterday! Big thanks goes out to RAGE for hosting another great event! I had a blast playing as a role player and I really thought the allegiance level, and personality trait was a great idea. Also having each of us bring a BDU top for each side was a great idea although I don't think was fully utilized. Even though I wore a tan based BDU top for the second half of the day when the RPs were combined with tan.
I didn't have a single hit calling issue and I saw great sportsmanship throughout the entire day by everybody.
A couple suggestions for improvement that I think can lead to an even better role player interaction with players.
In the very beginning the role players were assigned starting locations with orders which I liked. Unfortunately after we accomplished that there weren't very many orders or objectives until the end of the first half that I apparently messed up while Troub was giving the role players intel on the OPFOR entering the city to try and recruit us. Well I ran off to an ISAF squad providing them intel of an impending OPFOR occupation of the village and led a squad of ISAF into the village which made for an interesting battle in the village right until the end of the first half of the day. What I would like to suggest is have the role players stay scattered throughout the map and be semi-permanently assigned to certain territories of the map. That way if another team or role players enter that territory the role players can interact with each other and the players.
I also never thought I would say this but even for 100+ players this field is even too big at times to utilize. I would see a squad of players occupying an area in the Northwest side of the AO (Firebase Bravo, Helicopter, Zulu Camp) and there would be no other player anywhere in the area. Especially with all the snow I think even using half of the field by either splitting the field in half longitudinally, or transverse would keep the players in closer proximity with more firefights.
Again this field is just challenging to fully utilize because it's so large. But I see this as an opportunity in that we don't need the whole field to have a good time here, so hopefully RAGE can work with Hell's Survivors to allow us to play here during the warmer months when paintball is in play. (finger's crossed)
Also it was fun having beers and food with Bnagley and the other gents that came up from Ohio with him as well as Ghast, Outlaw, Papa Bear, Ehlers, Tank, X, DeathDealer, and whoever else attended!

I watched A one man Opfor suicide charge turn into an epic face plant. "I'M GOING TO STAB YOU IN THE FACE, GI! I'M GONNA AAGHBFB" You're welcome. After this happened, and after all the wounded just left, I was alone near that spot and I went through my 4 last mags just to kill one of those guys at the bottome of the hill, but I ended up being sniped by his battle buddy sitting next to him. Right in the goggles I might add.

I also never thought I would say this but even for 100+ players this field is even too big at times to utilize. I really feel that it was the snow that prevented more firefights. RAGE did a great job pitting the two sides against each other, the snow just made it difficult to get there in a timely fashion. I think in warmer months, with vegetation for concealment, the size of the field would make for some awesome surprise assaults. I'm not a big fan of full on frontal assaults, I'm more of a fan of sneak around and flank tactics.

This was my first Milsim event, and I have to say that even despite the weather and the massive amount of snow everywhere, it was fun. I think the objectives were fun, and the role-players added an interesting twist to it, as you couldn't predict just what they were going to do.
I was also a member of the "tunes" squad, and it was a blast playing with everyone yesterday! Looking forward to more ops when the environment will hopefully be playing nice!

Well, I had a great time and got to see all the work I put into my P* show it's true potential. I have to say a big good job to the squad I commanded (squad 4, OpFor). For being inexperienced in Milsim you did very well. Unfortunately my gun went down just before lunch and a buddy of mines did too so we called it a day. Can't wait to play there again come summer.

I lived just long enough to get a kill, run out of ammo, then get shot in the head. But can't complain too much because it was worth it.
