Hey, everyone I was wondering if you guys know anything about how to get some hook/loop patches made. I want some for my team (ya know, to put on our ACU/packs). I already made our team logo (it's my avatar, in case you're wondering) using Adobe Illustrator, but I'm not sure how I should actually get them made. I've seen advertisements online, so I could go that route. What kind of pricing would be reasonable? Any alternatives to that option?

There's lots of different sites and routes to go, I can't link to any since I'm on my mobile.
Embroidered patches can be very nice but also very expensive. Companies usually charge an initial "digitizing fee" of $30-80; this is where they usually convert your raster image to vector, and then run the vector through their stitch layout program. Your logo will likely not be suitable for embroidery, unless you want it to be larger than 5"x5", because it has so many tiny details. Colors, shapes, backings, etc are all limited based on the company you go with.
Other options like vinyl printing, I've heard the proprietary term "Photatch" thrown around, can be cheaper. These processes are not color limited and are basically you logo printed on a piece of velcro back synthetic material. Digitizing fees on these range from $0-40 usually.
Some companies offer velcro backing, some don't; some charge extra, some don't.
I would suggest designing your logo with the patch process in mind. Square and circular patches are cheaper than custom patch shapes. Removing your team name and placing the big letters GSAT under the skull might get your logo closer to being ready for embroidery. If your going to pay a digitizing fee you should make sure your logo is exactly how you'll want it.
Im also going to mention that when you agree to have a patch printed you usually have to agree to a forum that you own the legal right to have it printed under all applicable copyright laws. Stealing images from the internet and using them to create your patch is usually a violation of national and/or international copyright laws and punishable with very large fines and jail time. Not saying I agree with the law, but it is the law.
[Edit] Another option I forgot to mention was name tape patches. You could have just your team name embroidered into name tapes at a low cost. Then you can wear the nametape in place of the traditional ARMY/USMC/NAVY/AIRFORCE ones. It looks professional, costs less, no digitizing fees, and no designing or legal issues.

Thanks for your help! I think I might go with the vinyl option since the embroidered one (while cool) is too resource-intensive for our purposes. I definately want velcro backing though.
I own all parts of this logo, as I made it entirely from scratch in Adobe Illustrator with only some other images as a guideline to look at for inspiration and basic shape. In case anyone wants more detail on how I made this, go to my YouTube channel (through my profile here) and browse my videos. It's in there. Thanks again!
