I just made the jump, and my P* is on order. I live in the greater Grand Rapids area, and was wondering what local businesses will refill compressed air tanks. I've been looking online, and through the forum, but didn't find any information about this.

What size tank are you looking to refill. You can get it filled by any local scuba shops, depending on if you have a 3k or a 4.5k tank might require specific local sources though as not all are capable of filling 4.5k psi tanks.

Yea TC paintball is your best bet. It cost $1 per 1k psi so it is relatively cheap.

I'm having my Thompson M1A1 converted to a P*. I already have a scope so I'll be ready whether it'll be for a sniper roll or a rifleman. I am disabled so don't look as this as any type of advantage. I'm just tired of being cannon fodder. Next season, just watch your butt, because it'll either be my Thompson, or my scoped Garand. I can't wait!

I'm bumping this thread to ask if there are any shops in South East Michigan (preferably Metro Detroit) that anyone has been to during the winter months that have had their tanks filled. The SCUBA shop up the road from me said they can't run their compressor due to the cold weather so I wasn't sure if that's the case for all shops during this time of the year. I figured if the compressor is in a building with heat that this wouldn't be an issue?

Try giving a few places a call. For instance, call the scuba place and ask if they know of any other places to do HPA refills. Sometimes places like mc sporting goods or dunahms does them, and someone at the scuba shop is probably bound to know of another HPA refill place.

Yeah, sadly Dunhams and Dick's (at least all of the locations in my area) only fill CO2. This issue I'm running into now has to do with the colder weather unfortunately. EDIT: Sea The World Scuba in Farmington on 10 mile Rd & Middlebelt can fill up to 5k PSI.
