Hello! I am a new player that is coming over from the paintball family. I am in the southeast Michigan area. The only field I know of is Commandos Airsoft field in Garden City. Are there any others? What gun should I get for my first? Any tips for switching over? Thanks, anything is appreciated.

Commandos Airsoft in Garden City is a store, but they own an indoor CQB field on the East Side, also known as East Side Airsoft. There's an airsoft rec game being held this Saturday at Action Paintball which is located in Taylor. miairsoft.proboards.com/thread/48952/game-limits-action-paintball-2014Check out the events section of this forum for more information on where and when airsoft games are going on.

Welcome aboard! Since you're new here, I highly recommend reading through this thread: miairsoft.proboards.com/thread/8089/forum-rules-guidelinesAs for airsoft related stuff, give the stickied threads here a read: miairsoft.proboards.com/board/94/newbie-discussionThere are plenty of other fields in the southeast Michigan area. Commandos Eastside is in Warren, the Garden City location is just a store (as far as I know) and it's an indoor field. There's TD Tactical in Detroit and Phoenix Tactical in Clinton Township as far as indoor fields go. Usually once a month, the Suicide Kings host rec games at No Limits/Action Paintball in Taylor, which is an outdoor field. As for getting a first gun, it all depends on what kind of gun you like and what type of role you'd like to play out in the field. I'd say more, but I gotta go to class soon. I'm sure that within the next few hours, some of the much more experienced members of MiA will help you out.

I'm not sure if people just forget about this or what, but take a look at Cats (Doom)'s masterpiece: Michigan Airsoft ProjectIts a map of the state, all decked out with everything airsoft. Good luck, and welcome to MIA.
