Ive also attended the post apocalyptic games Yankee has hosted and theyre fantastic. The one we did with 5-6 teams was probably the most fun Ive had airsofting. The interactions that happened with the teams and the secondary objectives the teams had was great.
With that said, Yankee Ive been dying to do another one and if it follows the same storyline you can count my team in.

Yankee's games are always fun! I agree with spear about that game with multiple teams. Merc'ing was hella fun.
Still got all them bottle caps, Evan? Maybe time for a revival.

Well what about (scenario wise) a fight for who controls one of the largest freshwater supplies in the world by controlling the state itself. Taking my own direction with this but has there ever been a state-wide event series? Where various teams from across the state put on their own event (one after the other) that piggybacks off of what happens at the previous event hosted by another team? I know this is done with single events that happen yearly, but I feel like it would be fun (although probably difficult) to organize a statewide thing. Players would attend whatever event(s) is closest to them and then end up routing (sp?) for whichever team the played for as the event moves around. One team would then ultimately "control" the state and the freshwater supply. Maybe i'm thinking in impossibilities but this just popped into my head so I thought I would post it. I've thought about something like this as well.

Yankee and I were just talking yesterday about it.... Have them all still Timm. It's looking like my planning partner (Gasmask) and I are going to but on the thinking caps and write one up. Tough part will be deciding when we'll have it. We want it to be free and clear of other games, and both of our schedules are fairly unknown from April-August for work related reasons.

It'd be worth the effort though. That I do agree with Hey guys, agreeing and saying "Well thats a great idea" gets you just about nowhere. Start making things happen if you're serious about this: game ideas are great, but they're even better as real events. Just saying.

Picture this: Mission is collect some papers and deliver to Comm 'X'. Upon completion of your mission you will be awarded enough credits to acquire some ammo, additional mags, medkit, hot dinner and a beer for you and your 2 other friends. CommOp reports the papers are inside a secure area, guarded by an rotating shift of 5 to 8 people.
There's a problem.. You only have 7 rounds remaining in your 1911, your Friend A is out of ammo, and Friend B ditched his assault rifle in fear of getting busted by the local military enforcement for not having a proper permit. ...interested?
Games like this are actually really fun. Limited ammo, limited weapon selection, money system, etc. (sort of like a DayZ mod... with or without zombies. These events require more puzzle solving, communication, and planning rather than shooting. And now comes the problem with these events. Everyone wants to be the military, want to run-and-gun, or doesn't want to use a pistol or shotgun all day as their primary weapon. So it required serious players only, one person can ruin it all for everyone.
I'm willing to put together a scenario, however this isn't a one or two day event, rather it would be series of multi-season events. And it requires several people to host. If anyone is interested let me know and we can put something together.

The story seems a bit bland, when I hear Apocalypse I think of a vauge military presence,Raiders.Instead of food ect what about Ammo? Or the location of a supply cache which may or may not have supplies,Or smaller factions which have their own agendas. I do really like the thought of puzzles,But communication would have to be very limited(if we're talking about radios),the whole shotgun all day thing would get a bit boring,I'd say like A1/2/3s,Ak74/47s,FNs ect because remember weapons such as that are common place in the States just no MK18s/and like super modified guns in terms of things on it.
