They haven't really confirmed where in Ohio yet. Perhaps the field in Springfield?

They haven't really confirmed where in Ohio yet. Perhaps the field in Springfield? There's an LCOPS FB event for Northern Light and all it says is that it's in the Columbus area with the date of May 16th-18th. Technically Springfield is just West of Columbus but I hope it's a cool AO. I've played at Springfield twice and while it's a great field, not sure if I wanna pay over $100 to play there again. Although Springfield is definitely a vehicle friendly field.

I'm guessing it's not the place in Springfield for NL. Greg stated they have the AO and have to lock it down still, but no vehicles.
I have no idea where it's at, but if the price tag is like Lightening Strike and it's indoors, I'll likely skip it.

I'm confident the event is at the same place Gunny's referring too. If i recall correctly; the Lionclaws events have been held here in the past. If indeed this is the place, I'll for sure pass on this event. It's not epic or unique enough for me. Here is the Springfield field info: 4624 Dayton Springfield rd., Springfield, Ohio 45502 www.ohiohiddenspringranchatvriding.com/airsoft.htmlAbout 8 years ago (maybe longer) this field was all woods, the clearing with the buildings is new from when I last remember.

That doesn't seem too special for a lionclaws event. Although I am basing that on the few pictures I could find on their website, I could be wrong, but it does just seem kinda average for a milsim event

No MiA-Team truck. Sent from my XT1080 using proboards I asked on their forum and Greg responded. I was looking forward to hunting down some more vehicles this year myself. No one else around here offers that, and that's why I'm willing to pay the extra money. If I'm just walking around a big AO and getting into a few random shootouts, the price tag is more than I'm willing to pay for what I can do around here for 1/3 of the price. I guess I'll be holding out for Irene.

Well, I wanted to go to NL but if it's in springfield I may be passing it up. The field is MASSIVE (500 acres if memory serves). It is ok but there is so much un-utiized space. The last time I was there it was many hours of walking with very few firefights. That was mostly due to poor objectives on the game hosts part. Shouldn't be a problem for LC but I will have to play it by ear.

FYI...LS is in a hold for a week and may be cancelled. I haven't seen a post about this anywhere. So, I figured I drop this update on here for anyone who's paid or planning to go before you buy an airline ticket or pay for that hotel. OPLS

Wow it seems lionclaws is having some trouble this year, because they are still trying to lock down that AO for northern light

Unfortunately the mall fell through for Lightning Strike. Refunds have been processed but instructions are on the LC event forum in case you didn't receive your refund. Per John Lu. "That said, our team has been working on a number of alternatives in MN, IL, and OH. We will stay away from WI, lesson learned." www.oplionclaws.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=143&t=5619

Hopefully it will move to some place closer. If they could get either event at the steel mill again that would be epic. I'm not sure on what the story behind the steel mill is or why they haven't considered it yet but it would be sweet to have it there

From what I understand they have tried to get it again, but it fell through. Which sucks, I want to play there again...

Hell after having attended the last two NLs at Trenton, I almost would be reluctant to press my luck again playing there. That place is a death-trap. Ahh who am I kidding, I would still play there again! Well I have no doubt that LC will secure another great AO that hopefully is closer to Michigan. It's only February so we still have time.

Yeah I'm confident in their abilities to wow us all with what they come up with. And hell even if that Ohio AO isn't all too spectacular, I think I might go as long as its not too pricy. Or who knows maybe they will end up finding some other really awesome new AO in either our state or one of the neighboring states. It would be pretty sweet if they could find an abandoned factory of some sort as an AO, because there are plenty of them all across the nation just waiting for airsofters to come and use them
