DG's win the cool category hands down. But reliability mixed with the fact that other than the engine itself the hop-up, barrel, bucking, and body can all be readily changed out and you can still run cheapo mags. The remote line is a pain but in all reality it's nice not having to wonder if it's too hot, cold, if I'll suffer a break down an hour into play ect. ect.
P* hands down.

I have a kwa lm4 gbbr and it's decent but I haven't had a lot of luck running it through a whole game. I just had to fickle with it.
I picked up the dtw and have been pretty happy with it so far. The mags were dirt cheep. Like 17 or 19 bucks each. And it runs strong of lipo batteries in the buffer tube.
The polar star is one I never got into as of yet any way. But the turn off for me is the tether to a tank.

If you go the Daytona gun route I would suggest the M249 option rather than the M4. It's kinda hard to find G&P WOCs at a decent price and if you want the body to be something nice like a MUR upper or unique traded lower your gonna add a few C notes to the pricetag. Not to mention while you can get normal mags to work you need to tinker with them to get them feeding and fitting smoothly.
Besides since the lure of a DG is the sound and recoil there's something truly terrifing about hearing a M249 raining down on you with that beast.

^ a DG in a M249 would definitely be a cool route to go. And being air powered you get the a reliable high ROF setup. Although the only downside is the air consumption. Back before I got a P* FE I highly considered doing a M249 P* but ultimately decided against it due to the fact that you are going to consume a lot of air fast.

I'd say no to the M249, those things weigh a metric fuckton. I've used Beta, Green Label and PTS PMAGs with zero modification. Also, MAG mids fit even better. Only mags I had an issue with were Troy Battle Mags.
FYI, G&P WOC bodies are pretty cheap on Ehobby. You can also build from a challenge kit. The receiver(w/parts), trigger group, buffer tube and outer barrel are all you need. Everything else is AEG, pistol grip excluded.

The M249 is so tempting though. One of those mounted on our MiA-Team truck would be wickedly intimidating! I just don't know if I could justify spending that much money on something that might get used once a year. :/ It would be cool though. Sigh.

Sorry to drop on this conversation but, could someone send me a link to that in-the-stock P* tank you guys were talking about? I'm having a hard time finding it on google. Thank you and sorry to interrupt.
