If you don't want to dish out the cash for a pair of ESS Turbofans, or the cheaper Turbofan clones, or use a PC fan kit, this is also really nice to use to prevent fogging at $35. www.actionfans.net/Thank you Gunny! I believe this is what I saw Bones using at Mosin's OP Geronimo. He was going to send me the link to them, but I think he forgot just like I did. HA! I'm definitely picking up a set. I have fog issues even with T/X-800's when it's super humid, or when it's colder out (like the weather we are heading for currently). They seemed quiet enough that they wouldn't hamper your situational awareness. I also like that the fan doesn't take up any normal goggle venting room, so you wouldn't HAVE to have them on all the time. Not a problem Tank! Yeah that's what Bones has. He showed them to me during a No Limits game, and I plan on picking it up in the event that my ESS turbofans ever crap out on me.

Fogged goggles at night are a million times worse than during the day, and I've noticed that as night falls they tend to fog easier.

I currently own a set of them as well. They are "pretty good" but there are a few hiccups. Supposedly the fan works much better if you wire the fan reverse of how they wired it, but I havent had an issue the way it is. I will say that the clones replace the typically nice ESS mask seal foam with the 2 cent crappy scratchy foam.

Why not just do what divers do? Two magnets with felt on them. One magnet on each side of your lense. If you start to fog, just move the out magnet aaround your goggles and that will drag the magnet inside around your lense, wiping them safely without having to take off your goggles. If you think fogging at an airsoft game is a problem, try fogging 60 feet under water.

www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=29789A quick spray of this every time i take my goggles off (ESS profile nvg's with some custom foam where it touches my face and the vent foam removed)and I have never once had fogging with them. Not even a little in the corner of the lens or something. I don't know if i just got a super potent bottle or I naturally don't create a lot of fog but it took me from needing fan goggles to just using this stuff and not even worrying about it.

I would suspect trying this for airsoft would result in scratching the crap out of your goggles over time. Though I do like the idea...

I like the idea of the magnets.

You want to prevent it from fogging in the first place.

We have a cleaning magnet in our fish tank, and it does a surprisingly good job cleaning off the algae. I wouldn't think a small magnet, maybe the size of a dime, would get in the way too much, and having both covered in a soft felt or maybe microfiber cloth would help prevent scratching.

Cat Crap is the best anti-fog I have ever used its like $7.00 its a little red plastic tub but I see its only available online now. But I would say that over moondogs new stuff. Cat Crap will last for days rather than hours.

Here is something I came up with awhile back, but being a procrastinator I never built it..
Take a small fan, or air pump thats electric. Get a tube of some sort, and end caps that can thread on. make the pump or fan set in the tube.
make a hole in each cap, and run a hose from both ends, one to the right side of the goggles, one to the left side. the moving/circulating air should in theory eliminate the annoying fog, and also be less noisy like some fan goggles. the 'Fan tank' can be connected to the back of a molle vest, or in a hydration pouch or similar.
hell, even a small squeezy hand pump done the same way should do the trick..
Fog appears on the lense, pump the squeezy ball and your good, haha..

I like that option, Ranger. When I get off my butt and start a new project not to finish, I'll look into that.

Haha, you have the same problem I do.. I have 50 unfinished projects laying around waiting on me. I hate when that happens.
Glad ya like it though, buddy. I have degenerative disk disease, and in a bad way. So when I'm sitting there boo hoo'ing about my back and all the pain, I have all sorts of ideas and thoughts, then I take a pain killer and think.. Eh, I'll get on that in a bit. Next thing I know its too late to make noise in the house or the hate monster/wife will ground me.
One day i will finally finish a 3rd of the crap I've started.
As for the duster gas.. I could be wrong, but that seems pretty dangerous! My luck while my goggles are foggy, I pull out the can of "Explosive, compressed air" and not even see the enemy aiming at me and BAM! The bb hits the duster can, and explodes, shoving shrapnel into my cheek or something awesome like that.. No thanks! haha.
You'd probably be safer not even wearing eye pro's at that point. "DO NOT, NOT USE EYE PRO's" Unless selling pencils on the corner from a cup wearing them super dark and huge sunglasses sounds awesome, otherwise its a bad idea.
