Good to hear you're still in it, Corey. Playing up at your place is what I miss most. I never had a bad time at SFOD. Love you JD you'll probably be one of the guy's forced into driving one of the HMMWV's up with us for gas before game start, unless we just take a truck and do one big ass diesel run. I don't know, personally I think it'd be a lot more fun running a convoy up to the local speedway :-P

Would you allow other vehicles on the field? We have the MiA-Team truck that we would love to bring out.

Possibly, as long as someone heavily reliable was behind the wheel.
There's still much to be discussed and hammered out I'm still trying to get a few S.F.O.D. members back on board, and haven't really revealed the new field to them yet, S.F.O.D. really went downhill there for a while to the point where I just called it quits for a while.
For this I apologize to everyone and express my gratitude to those who didn't pass judgment, few people fully understood, or cared what S.F.O.D. actually had to deal with involving game planning and all, but it didn't stop people from bashing on us :-(
Hosting a game there, well, It was nothing short of a nightmare. It was an unspeakable struggle just to get a confirmation date to allow a game much less the yes/no scrutiny that followed in the planning. One minute something is ok the next it's totally unacceptable. Long story short the property owners had a bit of a power trip with plenty of energy and enthusiasm for using it.
I'm not trying to make excuses or pass blame but I do want people to know we had very large obstacles working against us and that tends to take the wind out of your sails after a while, so I shut the field down until we could start our own!
The very first event we do will probably be OP:Blood Dynasty V and I'm making it a free game! But I will not start games again till mid summer when I expect the field to be completed and full vehicle capacity. Please be patient, this spring I'll be doing a lot of work and if anyone is interested in helping out I welcome it!

Well it would either be myself or Tank. Obviously you've played with me before and I drove the truck at northern light without any injuries (excluding Timm) . I trust Tank to drive it. Sent from my XT1080 using proboards

I remember such a game. I tried looking for pictures, but I'm starting to think I didn't take any. I remember a pistol only game and someone's desert eagle. Sent from my XT1080 using proboards Yeah X, then you were there as well. Yeah Miles brought his entire GBB collection and let all of us pick a gun to use when we did the pistol only game. EDIT: Ahh it was 2011 then... It broke my heart to see the field in the condition that it was. Glad though that we had an opportunity to play there again though even if it was only a few of us. Hey Grey Fox! Miss ya bud, you were always such compassionate and enjoyable host. Always spent the time to talk to me, even when I was running around in shorts and soccer socks at Blood Dynasty. Hope all is best and the field works out! My fondest memories are decomposing in the countless plastic .25's sitting at the top of D-Day. That small game was incredible!!! I wish we could something like that again.

HOT DAMN!!!!!! Corey is still alive on the forums...And how I did not see this sooner evades me.... I would like to piggyback on what Fox said about the property owners and just say to everyone to look back and reminisce and be thankful that we had the (few) chances we did to sling plastic there. The good times usually made up for the struggles we had to go through to simply get the game on the schedule. Getting wheels up was nothing short of a miracle half the time. Now, to the topic at hand.. SFOD IS still alive....kinda. I have not heard from Warpig or Gene in ages, since before I left for the USCG. Just recently got back in contact with Corey, so things are looking up for me now, which paired with what Corey has said already, brings me to some big news. I was going to stay in the dark on this one till an SFOD game came to be, but....I just got an air soft boner after reading the last page and a half, so, I'll just leave this here...I just re-enlisted for a further 5 years of Active Duty in the US Coast Guard. I have also received orders to my next unit in my USCG Career. This Spring (more like end of May if all goes as planned) I shall be departing my unit in Alaska and making a much awaited 2600 mile drive BACK TO MICHIGAN!! I'll be stationed right in Detroit for the next 4 years. And gents, Ya'll better believe I'll be joining you all back in the game. Miles, Devil, the rest of you pistol-loving guys, start getting your hand cannons ready, 'cause my pistol shenanigans are coming with me. Corey, we need to have a chat, so um, ya know, maybe answer yer phone some time, ya?!?!? Ooh, and you do know you can count me in day or night for field work, as long as I'm not down in Detroit at work..

Yep. I picked a good summer to finally stop being too busy with work and school to come out for games more than once or twice.
The 'ol SFOD field is still the one I have the fondest memories from. And I look forward to the Fond Memory Factory v2.0.

Oh my. I want to help in any way I can. Some of my best memories were on that field, Blood Dynasty was one of my first games I'm pretty sure.
