Hey guys I was wondering what is the best brand for gear and equipment is? I know best is a broad term but I'm referring to sturdy/good quality and cheaper prices. If you could let me know that would be much appreciated!

The best quality gear is made by real steel manufacturers. There is a recent thread on this. If you are looking for the best deal on real gear I'd say search ebay for eagle industries. Look as khaki SFLCS/MLCS, RLCS and coyote pouches. They are as cheap now as the replicas that copied off of them. Knife posted a bunch of eagle khaki pouches for good prices a while back and he probably still has more.

Real gear is always the best, but I do own some Flyye and Toy Soldier and they are really good build quality for a "replica".

If you could let me know that would be much appreciated! I would really advise you to start doing research instead of posting very vague and very general questions. It doesn't sit well with MIA when you show no incentive. Do a little bit of research and then when you have a few more things to compare and ask about and you can't find info on them then make the post asking about those specific things.

No problem. It's just hard to point you in the right direction when we have nothing to start off from. Also the term "best" can be misinterpreted in so many ways. It's better to have a few things in mind already and then we can help you weed through which one is better or what direction to go from there.

Okay well, I'm wondering what brand of equipment you guys would recommend? I would be looking for something strong and that would last so I don't need to buy a new one, at least for a while. And something that's relatively cheap (meaning definitely below $100). Brands that are "known" for being strong or cheap.

Equipment for what? I wouldn't buy my boots from the same company that I bought my plate carrier from. I would buy goggles from a third company, and I would probably buy pouches from about a dozen different companies. You need to get much more specific. And in doing so, you need to give us some more criteria to go one. A budget is good, but what are your other needs?

A vest or plate carrier and combat pants with shirt. If a plate carrier it has to have a lot of molle everywhere, be under $100, and be very strong. For a vest all of the same things but with M4 mag pouches, a cross draw holster, pistol pouch, and radio pouch. And for combat shirt with pants preferably around $75 a bit more could be fine but really other than price the only requirement is for it to be strong and durable.

I understand that you want to stay under $100, however in airsoft you often do get what you pay for, especially in gear. I would suggest spending a little bit more to get brands that have more reputable quality, such as Flyye or Pantac. I personally use Flyye pouches and the stitching and material is solid. I have also owned a Condor ciras and pouches. The stitching was not as good as the Flyye and I had a couple rows of molle that were too narrow.

It costs more than 100, but I own a flyye 6094 in AOR1 and the quality is fantastic. I think they go for roughly 130 (but don't quote me on that).

There are also some gear manufacturers that produce really nice stuff for fairly low prices. I'm thinking specifically of ATS, Tactical Tailor and TAG. You can get a TAG Shellback Banshee PC for around $130 from SKD. Likewise, you can get a 6094-style PC from AWS for around $150.
Flyye and Pantac are, of course, great. Airsoftsmith and AirsoftGI now stock Pantac. As mentioned, Eagle Industries RLCS pouches can be found for around the same price as Pantac and Flyye on Ebay or on airsoft forum commerce threads.
