Was a ton of fun! Really suck that some people do have to ruin it to an extent because they think its cool to steal from people who are just there to try and have a good time, crappy people aside, it was a really fun day, and the night portion of the games were really intense, the com chatter mixed with not being able to see very well had some pretty tense moments, and after tonight I definitely have had a change of heart about flashlights, I always thought they were dumb because they were just a "hey im over here" give away, but they are VERY disorienting when you get into a fire fight, and I also got my first knife kill, so it was a great day all in all.

best airsofting day for me in a long time. First off, thanks to T6e9a for the trade, and to AKS for the free battery, it really helped my sorry unprepared butt out.
On to my AAR: Well, For some reason My goggles seemed to do relatively well in the heat, so i was able to get 22 kills total throughout the day, and only 6 deaths. The games out at the castle were ridiculous, and there was as much friendly fire as enemy fire. With 150 people or more, that area is VERY crowded. However it did lead to a very difficult game.
The Capture the flag games were a little more spread out, and that made it a LOT more fun.
Now, the one night game I stayed for was probably the best time I've ever had. There's just something about having the ability to sneak around, ambush, and shoot at people undetected that just.... I can't even explain it.
There was also a time while defending green's hostage that we had a small force sneak around behind us, and basically lay in wait. I snuck around back while my buddies suppressed, and got two easy kills. I also Laid down underneath a spindle on the speed ball course and allowed 4-6 people to get behind me, and then wasted them all. That kind of combat made this a very memorable night. Thanks to Pagan, and all those who helped set up this game.
looking forward to coming out again soon.

Being called out for holding a gun I had just barely put back together for not having a cove kind of bothered me a little, but my barrel condom situation was a little sticky, I gotta get more, enough for my personal guns, and then enough for any guns I am working on.
I am terribly sorry to snarfdog for putting your SCAR back together to find out that the gearbox might be locked up. I am more than willing to take another look at it some other time and get it up and running for you.
And I feel bad that I traded an HK416 stock to Semper-life, and ended up loosing the back cover of it. I would have been more than willing to help you find it, given there was better light. And also, feel free to hit me up when/if you want to upgrade your gun, or get it rear wired. I would have done it there, but I didn't have any extra wire.
But those things being said, I made a few potential customers. And even though I didn't get out on the field to play, stop feeling bad for me, I prefer to be working on guns, helping all of you guys to get out and play.
And in some regards, so I'm not being nagged about doing my tech work, I think I should probably find a table or place to work off by the edge of the woods so I can test, and not be in the safe zone being yelled at for firing(checking if the GB will cycle), having barrel condoms on(just barely put it together, but I understand and was ill prepared), and whatever else.

As embarrassing as it may be to be ''called out'', the safe-zone/staging area of an airsoft game is the LAST place to be doing any sort of tech work.
We had a BLAST thanks to Pagan and the boys. This was probably the most fun I've had at a Michigan airsoft game in the last couple years. Definitely WAY more fun than this years' Northern Light by a mile.
Can't wait til' the next night game at No Limits as I think everyone had a great time.

We had a great time last night. It was a nice blend of shorter games with instant gratification together with longer games requiring more thought and coordinated efforts. It seems the SK devoted thought to the games in advance of the event, and it really kept things moving, interesting and fun. It was nice to catch up with many of you and hear about the families, new guns, old cars, etc. Well done SK - you know you're having fun if you stay the whole night with a broken toe...

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday. It's great to hear so many people had a good time.
As far as a review of the event it's a mix of good and bad. I'll try not to repeat what the others have said too much.
The Good:
We had 162 people register and pay yesterday. This was our highest attendance in the two years we've been hosting these games. In the past three games we've had a total of 460 players come out.
The night games were a huge hit. I'm so glad that everyone enjoyed themselves. Being a ref, standing back with Deacon watching people try to make it across the field was a riot.
Players were paying attention to each other. I had more people come up to me and point out safety issues yesterday than at any other event. We roughly have 8 refs to watch over 100+ people. As hard as we try, we can't be everywhere at once, so the help is appreciated.
I had more players come up and thank me than ever before. It means a lot that you would take the time to come over and thank me. .
The Bad:
People left the staging area TRASHED. Thanks to those who stuck around and helped to clean up. The field owners had been there since 9 am running the field, and it's bullshit to expect them or anyone else for that matter to clean up after you. A special fuck you to the group that sat at the table second from end on the right hand side. You went to Burger King and left your food bags and garbage all over the table and ground.
I know when there are as many players as there was yesterday, target identification can get difficult, but the amount of friendly fire was a bit out of hand. I was walking out of the castle, had no weapon in hand, was waving a dead rag over my head, and was shot in the neck from behind. Seriously? I'm a fat dude with a giant beard and was waiving a red rag over my head and you thought I was playing?
The ugly:
As many people have already mentioned, I had a thunder b core stolen yesterday. The reason I know it was stolen, was that two refs heard a player say I'll pick it up and turn it in and never did. What made me so upset was the fact that I was on the other side of the castle wall, maybe four feet away from where I threw the thunder B, and someone had the balls to snag it and keep it. After that game I asked everyone that if they had it to please return it. I also asked everyone again in the staging area to return my thunder B core as well as the another one that was taken from another player during the same castle game. If you're enough of a low life scum to steal other people stuff, do us all a favor and don't come back. I gave you a chance to have some integrity and return it, but you showed that you're really just a waste a skin.
Safety Violations: Multiple time yesterday I clearly and loudly stated that anything other than full seal eye wear was NOT allowed. Yet we had multiple players try sneak out on the field wearing shooting glasses. Why? You were told they are not allowed, and you ended up getting caught. Removing of goggles/masks was another serious problem yesterday. I know it was shitty humid yesterday. Almost every one was having some sort of fogging issue. I even had players repeat back to me during the safety briefing what they were supposed to do if they were having fogging problems.
Safety/Game Briefings: Trying to explain things to 100+ people and have them understand is hard enough, but trying to do so when people are talking and having other conversations is just about impossible. It's time to grow up and show a little bit of respect. If what ever you are talking about is so important that you can't wait until I finish what I need to say, go the parking lot.
As far as people chipping in to buy me a new thunder b, I'm speechless. I host these games not expecting anything in return, so it means a lot that you guys would offer to do this. I'm not asking anyone to or even expecting it, but if people do decide chip in I will use what ever funds that are given to also replace the thunder B core for the other player who had his taken.

For my first time out to No Limits I had a good time, and appreciate Pagan and his crew for hosting and also taking thw time to wxplain things to me and my girlfriend the few times we were confused and/or lost.
As for the thunder b incident, that really was low of whomever grabbed it. I had mine ready to toss and ended up locking it back in the car after that. I do have a core minus the spoon bit I'd donate to you guys if it helps out.
The only downside for me was the night game. While I did enjoy parts of it there was some problems.
To begin, my goggles were solid fog the entire time. My whole squads were. seeing movement was near Iimpossible. Although this seems true for everyone so at least I don't feel alone on that. Secondly, as a radio man on green, I don't know what was going on radio wise but it started good and descended into chaos. I couldn't get any confirmations of where our guys were versus where we had enemies. Many many times did we almost shoot and get shot by friendlies moving through the speedball field. Then there was the whole 20 minutes where we lost the hostage and no one knew where he went. When I finally got back to the safe zone I heard there a change of channels mid way through the game that no one knew about, myself included. To be fair it was a rec game, so I wasn't expecting stellar coms but it did break down really quick.
That all said, we did have a good moment. Mysquad was defending the backside of the paintball field on greens edge. Two of my squad got tagged and left, me and my girlfriend were left. She was to my right, and we were talking about seeing anything, when we see movement. I tell her to hold fire a second until I see a person coming across the road. Kick on my light, guy covera his face and I see 5 others in the trees with him. Well we got taken out quickly but turns out they had been watching us for sometime and were trying to figure out when to shoot. I thought they were greens the whole time. Still was a pretty good jump on as. Good job tans.

Well, I can't say to much about this game. I played the first game and injured my ankle pretty bad. But on to what I can say. I learned about how helpful and caring everyone in the Michigan airsoft community is. After injuring my ankle, I was helped back up by a friendly player, and offered to carry me back to the safezone. After that, when I was packing up to leave, several people said, "Get well soon man, hope to see you at the next game!", and helped me pack up and help me carry it to my ride. To Pagan, and the rest the Suicide Kings, thanks for going through the trouble and hosting these games. Expect me to be at the next one!

This was my first game at No Limits and at the end of the day, I had a lot of fun. It was a little difficult to learn the ropes on a new field, I really didn't know how the games were going to play out, but we got the hang of it. The hardest was the night game just because I barely knew what was going on in the first place, then I couldn't see for crap. I am one of the lucky ones though who manages to avoid any goggle fogging (and I wear glasses, too) so that was nice.
The worst shot I took the whole night was actually from close-range friendly fire, heading back to spawn in the castle game (I had my gun & hands in the air). I understand that it was just way too chaotic with that many people though.
Everyone else pretty much already said what I would have for good/bad, so I won't repeat it all again.
It was a good experience from our first time down there, but it really sucks to see any theft happen. The guy I parked next to warned me to lock my car because there was an issue at the last game. It didn't even cross my mind that I should have to worry about that. Pagan, it was my first time meeting you and you seem like a really stand up dude. It's obvious how much of your time and effort is put into these events and it just really sucks that you and the other guy had thunder Bs stolen. That is just shitty and it makes me angry. This is a sport we all want to enjoy, we shouldn't have to pick and choose what we use for fear that we may not get it back.
Anyway, I barely know you and I'm not super active on this forum but I threw a few bucks your way on Paypal. I hope it helps replace the stolen items. I know I would hate to lose my own stuff.

I definitely had a lot of fun. I'd like to thank Pagan and the suicide kings for putting this together. I'd also like to think Pagan for letting me barrow his goggles for the night game. I also lost a tan quick detach suppressor out on the field if anyone happens to find it let me know, thanks.

Here's an opposing/defender view of roughly 14:30 and on in Auzzie's video until I got shot in the ass. I had a good time yesterday. No major complaints outside of some issues IDing which team players were on. Some of the players new to night game need to work on their usage of flashlights and lighting up teammates from behind. Looking forward to the next night game. Pretty sure I dropped a VFC MK17 midcap up on the hill in the 'concrete' field during night game one. Found. Thank you to whoever turned it in.
