*Im not sure exactly where this gose so Admins please move to apropriate thread if you feel its neccessary. I have a CYMA 14 EBR and the buttstock/buffer tube snapped off. The gun is made from cast aluminum. What I would like to know is if theres a way to repair this rifle and if anyone here would be willing to do it. If not, is there someone willing to do a trade? I would really like to get my EBR back up and running. Thank guys.

I had this same problem on a CYMA EBR of mine. I used a whole lot of JB Weld and it held up just fine. I may have some pictures. I'll try and dig them up after work.

Ive used loctite braced it with a piece of metal and used a ton of gurrilla and electrical tape. The Loctite holds but it eventually wears down. Im looking for a more permenant fix. M.S. ARC Im useing the gun today but I will try to post pictures later. or at least pictures of where the break is.

You could go buy a new buffer tube and stock since it only takes an M4 buffer tube unless the actual body has damage done to it as well.

also, if it's decent metal, welding it back together may be possible.

Its cast alumminum. I would prefer it to be welded back together but Im not sure it can be. Some tell me it can others tell me it cant. And Raptor its not the buffertube itself, but the nub the buffer tube slides onto. I will try to post pictures as soon as possible

It is most likely cast pot metal. Welding cast metals is difficult and welding pot metal is even harder. Your best bet is to do as Legionnaire did. Brace it with some decent metal (steel stock from Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc) and put some JB weld on it.
Super glue will not work.

I didnt think the metal was very weldable. Ill look into a brace and JB weld. Thank you guys.

This is a little dead but i feel I should close this out right.
I used JB weld with a brace and it worked perfectly. I also used it to fix a couple other cracks on the gun and the pistol grip as well. Really appreciate guys, hope this helps anyone else out.
