3:00-4:00: All players show up/check in
4:00-4:30: Late shows check in, safety brief, and scenario/rules.

BDU’s:
OPS Intl: Contractor: Tan pants, black top. Tan base camo is sufficient. However, we are pushing for a contractor look. 3-6 color desert, Desert Marpat, Multicam, ACU, AU ATACS, CIVI, ect.
T.H.O.R.: Green camo: M81, woodland Marpat, Tigerstripe, FG ATACS, ect.
Weapons: All weapons will be allowed. The FPS rules (using .2 BB’s) are as follows:
1-350.9 fps = Arms length engagement limit
351-410.9 fps = 20 feet away (do NOT fire on anyone closer)
411-550.9 = 50 feet away (bolt action and permanent semi auto ONLY)
551+ = prohibited or allowed by event organizer only

-Proper eye protection: Full-seal goggles

Back Story
It all began in the spring of 2013 with a small cough. Residents of a small town in Worcester, MA began to feel what they believed to be a cold coming on. What was to follow would unravel the world as we know it…………..
Less than two months after a small cough ripped across the US, it mutated into a virus that was resistant to every known antibiotic and cure that was thrown at it. There remains only a few remote locations unaffected by it. Know as the Kaimen Virus, named after Dr. Francis Kaimen who first reported it from Worcester, MA. It quickly become an epidemic that has torn the world apart.
It appeared on April 17th and by June 3rd has infected over 38% of the World. The world attempted to contain the outbreak twelve days after the virus was reported by forcing the US to close all borders and suspend all flights and shipments. This however was too late.
Two days after the borders were closed, a call was received by authorities in the UK reporting an intoxicated man vomiting in the park. Unaware of what they had, the man was arrested and placed in an over crowded holding cell filled with men detained for participating in a fight at an international soccer tournament. The next morning the men were released and returned home with their families to neighboring countries. This would ignite an outbreak that the world could not contain.
As the calls began to fill local doctor’s offices and hospitals with complaints of severe flu like symptoms all over Europe, a new strain suddenly appeared. What was once a cough and a cold, quickly became boils and sores. Followed by hallucinations, uncontrolled bleeding from the eyes and ears. Calls from around the US riddled the CDC with reports of people dropping in malls and in the streets with what appeared to be seizures. After hours of uncontrolled, agonizing spasms; the tormented soon became victims. The Kaimen Virus was now deadlier than any plague the world has ever known, and relentless in it’s pursuit of eradicating the world.
The world realized it was time for a radical measure. National leaders cleared of infection were quickly transported to one of the only places known to be free of infection, Antarctica. Once The Colony was established, other citizens of the world were tested and transported there in an attempt to safeguard what was left of humanity. Research teams from several of the world’s most elite pharmaceutical companies were assembled and tasked with finding a cure. They were placed in a highly guarded laboratory referred to as Code Name: Haven, located in South Africa. After several weeks of failures and the virus beginning to mutate further, people became hostile, causing attacks that made transmission rates peak by more than 75%. With death tolls climbing drastically, it was time for drastic measures. In an effort to eradicate the virus, it was decided to begin to bomb highly infected cities. As city after city was destroyed, there was no sign of the Kaimen Virus slowing it‘s spread. With over 55% percent of the world’s remaining population infected, and the world in ruins, there was nothing to return home to. The Kaimen Virus could not be stopped despite the efforts and measures taken. The world’s leaders realized that the end was drawing nigh. They would together form a one world government, known as Pinnacle.
In the midst of this chaos on August 20th, two pharmaceutical companies’ research teams notified Pinnacle that they were on the brink of a break through. Then 4 days later a garbled message from the Haven was received stating that there was a CURE!!! With all airports closed down, the transmission made mention that a small plane was located in Cape Town and that two teams were all that it could carry. They stated that they were leaving immediately in an effort to get ahead of the storm approaching from the southwest . As the transmission faded, two names were made out……Verivas and Trinity.
Two hours later with the news of a cure coming, everyone was in celebration, when a clerk came running in frantically. After several moments of whispering an announcement was made by the head of Pinnacle…………
“We received a call from Haven stating there was a cure. Teams from Verivas and Trinity were boarding a small plane to bring the cure to The Colony for mass production. Ten minutes ago, we received an emergency hail from the plane stating they were caught in a major tropical storm just off the coast of Tristan and were experiencing electrical problems. Then 5 minutes ago, the last transmission stated they were going down and the last words we heard were “Please send help!!” We have no idea which company is responsible for the cure, and we don’t care. This cure is important, quite frankly it’s everything to us. It’s our families, it’s our homes, it’s our future. While we pray for the safety of the crew and the teams aboard the plane, that cure must be found. Someone must go to Tristan and bring it back. With that said, we are offering the purchase of the cure from whomever presents it to us first. The purchase price is 1 Billion dollars and ownership of any country you so choose once the world is restored.”
Within moments, Verivas and Trinity each began to immediately assemble a team of all that remained of the world’s private military. T.H.O.R. (Tactical Highrisk Operational Resources) was hired by Verivas, while Trinity employed OPS Intl ( Over-watch Protection Solutions International). They left immediately to locate and return the cure.
May the Lord guide them as they enter those Dark Shores……………………………

This is our first open play MILSIM. Please be understanding. However, we felt it necessary to provide games for the Mid-Michigan players. If this game goes well, we plan on having many more MILSIM games in the future. We plan on adding plenty of objectives to make the game fun and interesting. On top of it, we have additional back story, news threads, and intel that we will drop leading up to the game.
