To be honest, Lansing airsoft is just about as disorganized as can be. We need to change that.
I know there is 1 field in Dansville, mine in Holt, and at least 1 in the Lansing city area.
We've got maybe 6 or 7 groups, and I'd estimate maybe 75 total players (including chairsofters).
I'd like to see some real events happen around here, and I'm sure a lot of other people would too.
the only problem i see is laziness and a lack of a real place to play. We need a real field.
Any ideas, places, or the like where we could hold a massive game?

Don't forget a lack of money to actually start up said field. Don't get me wrong I dream of the day when we will have a stable legit field in our area but people don't realize the over head cost and cost of insurance premium just to get a "legit" field off the ground and running.

I do recognize this, and trust me, I have considered it. But I believe with as many people as we do, someone will know somebody who can help us out. Hell, even farmland in Okemos, Mason, or the like are all options. With 30 people working together, you can more or less get any field together. I know for a fact places like Lowe's gives discounts to start-up businesses, (I've asked for my field), and that most insurance agents are fine as long as you follow contract.
If we can use someone else's land, then our costs are cut by about 90%. Also, the government is sitting on a lot of land, and if we play our cards right, we may be able to get it cheap on a "new business/bringing money into Lansing" case... worth a try

n all honesty... I think Puma has a pretty good point. having the manpower alone in your area is a great start. I mean.. With our 7 team members and pooled resources, we still didnt have the ability to start our field in the thumb yet.... yet. but with the 30 or so guys that you project... and poll your recources, and distribute the work effort, you could really have somrthing there. Now if I could just get soemthing like that in the Thumb......
