Just wondering if their are age groups. Like I'm a kid at heart with my rc cars and transformers collection now I wanna get into airsoft sport or what my wife calls grown men playing cowboys and Indians with bb guns(my wife said it I didn't). I'm a 39yr old man and i'm just wondering will it be a mix of teenagers and adults or are things split up by certain days or time of day. how does it all work?

It's usually a mix. Some events (usually serious milsim) are 18+, but generally you'll see a wide range of players from 14 to upper 50's. I'd say the average age is around 25-30. Most players get along just fine with other age groups, but you'll see some cliques form based on personality (a lot of which comes from age).
Also, just a heads up, grammar is kind of a huge thing here. Make sure you capitalize the starts of you're sentences, especially in thread topics, and check your spelling (there, not their).

At rec games (walk on games), you will definitely have a mix. At OPs you will have some age restriction. At MilSim events you will find them mostly limited to 18+.
Lately, the rec games I've been to at No Limits, run by the Suicide Kings has been a pretty good mix, if not a slightly older crowd. They've also been rather large.

First, before posting again, I'd say work on your grammar and spelling, as the mods will give you warnings if you don't. To answer your question, yes. It all depends on where you go to. Every field I know about has age restrictions. Kalamazoo Airsoft's limits are 13+ so you may want to check them out some Saturday if that's where you're around. It'd help us to know where you're around so we can tell you who normally is playing around there...

I'll work on the grammar since it such a big issue here. I don't want to upset anyone. Usually I just type what I'm thinking without thinking about the grammar. Also thanks for all info so far.

It mostly depends on the field. Phoenix Tactical in Macomb, where I go for the most part, tends to attract a younger crowd of 14-20s with the occasional guy in his 30s-40s. Eastside in Warren has a good mix of all ages from the few times I've been. No Limits is very much the same as Eastside age-wise, but is an outdoor field unlike the previous two and hosts games less frequently. You'll also find a lot more Milsim players at No Limits than the previous two, but they're just nice old people in very, VERY expensive gear.

esham976 if you like playing airsoft as much as we do, you'll fit right in. I've seen guys over 50+ playing and nobody thinks any different about them. The community is pretty open.

generally you'll see a wide range of players from 14 to upper 50's. That is true, I remember one time I was at the Kazoo Airhouse for a rec game with about 60 people there, and there was this one skinny women around 45 years old using a G36 that was just flying around corners whupping everyones ass ( I was thoroughly Impressed, and so was everyone else that was on the Red Team). This is definitely a sport anyone can join.

In all honesty, airsoft is really an ageless sport. As long as you play with integrity and treat others with respect, you could be an old geezer with a hunched back for all we care.

Everyone pretty much summed it up. There is normally a good mix of age groups but it is never any major issue considering we are all there to do the same thing anyway, as far as im concerned, if we all play the game with honor and have fun, does age really matter?
