So we all like reliving the experiences we have during airsoft, however gopro cameras and the like cost hundreds of green paper notes that some people just don't have. I have been looking into alternatives for myself and believe I have come across something very cost effective solution but still captures a very good video. The HD key camera #11 has been out for a few years and some of you might already know about it but for those who do not, here it is. The HD key camera #11 can record in 720p HD video and only cost about $40 from ebay. I haven't been able to order one yet but as soon as I can I will do some test footage and be sure to upload it. The battery is small and will record about 40 minutes of 720p HD video. For a full review here is a link to someone who did a full review of the specs. The reasons I think this will be a great alternative is: ~ The size is only that of a car fob, making it very veratile for where it can be mounted such as your helmet or rigged on your weapon ~ The price is 7 1/2 times cheaper than the $300 gopro ~ How expendable it is, should it get hit with a bb or break for any reason it was only $40 I'm not trying to promote this based on any personal gain, I just wanted to show people who cannot afford an expensive camera that there is a way to record your games without breaking the bank.
Thank you all for your time.

There are a few alternatives out there that are priced better than the GoPro.
Contour has a camera for $99 that puts out good video quality. Emerson has a camera for about $60. Not sure on the quality though. Midland has a halfway decent camera for $50.
I'm in the market for a camera, and I think I'm going with the Contour and a 32gb microsd card. From what I've seen the video is pretty good, and they are very durable. They also have a ton of mounting options, so I can use it on my 4-wheeler and for hunting.

I personally have a Contour, and can vouch for the quality of them. The ROAM2 version is very robust and can take a beating with no problem. Video quality is great, and can record in 1080p with great playback. Personally, I prefer a Contour over a GoPro for a couple reasons: A. The mounting options make it much more low-profile to mount on helmets and practically anything. B. It's a fair price, being only $200 for the ROAM2 model. C. It looks better IMO, you don't have that box lingering above your head asking to be shot at.
I can't compare the battery life between a Contour and the other cameras you suggested because I haven't had experience with them. But the ROAM2 has about 3.5 hours of recording time. The only drawback I see is that the battery isn't removable, so you can't carry a spare already charged one with you.
