I have an H&K air rifle that is rated at 450FPS. Can I use this?

Rick, When you say air rifle, do you mean an airsoft gun (6mm plastic), or a bb gun?

I moved this discussion out of the "How to choose your first AEG" thread since it wasn't related to choosing one's first AEG.
Rick36, "rated at" doesn't mean a whole lot. We care about the measured muzzle velocity of a 0.2g BB fired from your replica. The odds that an off-the-shelf AEG can actually hit 450 with a 0.2g BB are fairly low. It might well be capable of hitting 450 with a 0.12g BB, in which case it's probably going to be just fine with 0.2s. The only way to find out for sure is to chronograph it.

I had this gun, then I sold it to TheEnd. You should ask him what it chrono's at. I don't exactly remember what mine shot, but it was fairly hot. It comes stock with and M130 spring in it, so you can guestimate that to be somewhere in the range of 425 FPS w/ .2 gram BB's.
